We suffered from a relatively light weight pack in heavy conditions and one of the worst referee performances I've ever seen.

yeah they are and the other parts of my post are signs of a good team if you can play like that for large parts of the game.

I don't disagree, and we certainly haven't come close to making the best of a bad job, but I don't see the point in pretending that there aren't some significant factors that don't include the basic quality of the squad.
