Cooke didn't sign the contract. Carvell didn't want to play for us anymore, so we happily got 50k from it. Reardon didn't pass a fitness test.

Without digressing too much. Carvell signed then his missus changed his mind. What did the club do wrong there.?
Reardon signed subject to medical, which he failed. The problem with that signing was that we shouted about it from the rooftops before the medical was complete.
Judas.......least said the better, though I will remind you that he was still accepting his pay and he has been found guilty of breaches, not us. |

Has that Dobbin got on your account again? That's one of the biggest loads of tripe I've seen in a while.
Cooke's contract was messed up. Carvell signed a contract, then decided to leave. At least we got a fee instead of him going for free as, wait for it, he had a contract.
Reardon failed an extended fitness test. Nowt to do with his contract - in fact the contract thankfully had a clause in it allowing us to get rid. |

I don't think Agar has a beef with Hall. I think Hall needed time to recover his confidence after playing so poorly when he helped us out at Full back. I'm hoping we'll see him again soon at centre. |

Not a good signing until we sign a few more players that can play well with Long.
We need a new full back, a new stand off and a new centre.
Long will link up well with Manu/Tickle/Lauaki/Thackray and that's it.
Horne to Full Back gives us that support play that Long likes.
That means we need a new stand off, Thorman is just not good enough.
Do we give Whiting the number 3 shirt?

I wouldn't. I'd rather keep Tony as a Utility cover player, as he can play several positions, and we have had lots of injuries. |

Both of these signings would have been great for you guys 3/4 years ago but now they are just stop gaps that are surplus to requirements at their current clubs.
If Saints really thought Long was upto it for 2 more years they would have given him the deal as Long did not want to leave.
