Cuddle Club Rules 1. You dont talk about Cuddle club 2. YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT CUDDLE CLUB!!!! PS3 tag = Robbo_4444:20348.jpg

The thread is this many pages because it contains debate. If it was 17 pages full of criticism then the point about the number of pages might have been valid. Quite why some players some to be beyond any sort of criticism for certain posters is beyond me. It was a mistake to go for the corner as the percentage play was to draw the fullback and put his team mate in under the sticks.

Quite. Indeed Dave K, you must see the slight irony in your post.

From what I can see that most of this thread doesn't really criticise Yeaman, beyond saying he made a mistake. Which as I've said already, I think he would be the first to admit anyway. Other than that its actually full of people defending him and saying that suggestions of dropping Yeaman are off the mark.

Fancy having 17 pages of debate on a forum based on discussion.

I just wanted to add to the posts really

Yeamans a defensive centre plain and simple and on this occasion he thought he could score but got it wrong. Doesnt make him a bad player. Anyone saying he should be dropped for Arundel is clearly clueless

And while it was a shocker of a pass (and too late), if Pitts had picked it up, or hacked it through and dived on it, we wouldn't have 17/18 pages of discussion about it.

Crooks is way better at the moment, the evidence is clear to see on the pitch.

The problem some have is emotional attachment to certain players. Yeaman is a decent player, but not the player some would like to make out. You cannot argue with his defensive qualities, but no one is arguing that. The point if the thread is that a player with 12 years experience STILL cannot draw a defender and utilise supporting players.

Arundal had a poor start to his Hull career, but the signs were there to see that he was definitely going in the right direction. His performance at Salford, prior to his injury was very good.

If there is to be genuine competition for places, then errors like Yeamans have to be put under the microscope.

And Lineham is outplaying Briscoe at present but if you asked the the other 13 SL clubs which one they'd take out of the pair if they had a free choice it would be a unanimous decision imho.

Nobody is disputing the fact that there should be competition for places. However, 18 pages of fans opinions is not going to make one jot of difference to PG's thinking, however important posters think their views are.

Quote: east hull FC fan "I've no problem with people criticising Kirk, it's just the aggressive tone some people use. There's a fine line between critiquing, like you are, and just blatantly slagging someone off as others are.

There's a wider issue around some of our fans and an almost pre-meditated opinion on some of our players going both ways. Westerman gets some shocking treatment from some of our fans, at the other end of the scale is Whiting, who can never do wrong.'"

Completely agree.

Challenge Cup Winners 2016 (at Wembley) - HULL FC:

Quote: GM1 "Am I missing something? What is all this talk about Yeaman covering Briscoe's defensive duties all night?'"

Briscoe picked up a couple of knocks and should have been replaced by rights.

But with Green and O'Meley unable to return we didn't have options.

Yeaman was trying to limit Briscoe being exposed and i think this was the reason Leeds made the break between him and Ellis for their try. Yeaman makes a dash to his left but when realising the pass wasn't made he tried to step back to his right and slipped missing the tackle in the process.
