Really cannot see it with Holdswoth. He is FAR from a great player, and suggesting he is one of the best in superleague is one of the funniest things I've ever read!!

Yes he kicks 40/20s but what's the point when you have no clue on how to unlock a defence and notability to play a killer pass.

Yes he had a few good games (maybe 4 at best) but he had more poor (or even terrible) games where he coat us points and mostly average.. He's been down there with the worst halfbacks in a long line of poor halfback signings.

I for one cannot wait to see the back of an overrated, overpaid and underperforming arrogant player that has neither the heart, desire or ability to be successful!!

In terms of Holdsworth, disappointing. That said, he's only stamped his authority on a few games. But we'll struggle to trade up in this market.

I think their spend will be significantly more next season than this. One of the benefits of losing some big earners and already having some cap space I guess

The key word you put is "rumoured". In other words, complete bolloks.

Rovers are NOT cashed up, the 2 anorexic PNG players they've signed will be lucky to be on £30k each. They're not exactly earth-shattering and will not feature much.

Cockayne is an average player and they're paying £30k "we're sorry for sacking you" money for him.

I'd sooner be in our position where we're bringing young talent through than sticking a plaster over a bullet wound like Rovers with quick-fix, short-term signings in a last ditch attempt to stave off administration. Tuson is a good signing, as is Paea. Thompson is unknown, but we'll see. Feka has pedigree and is definitely hungry for Super League.

We've still got 2 players to release from what I heard and are looking to continue recruitment after the RLWC.

As usual JTP is in glass half-empty mode. I don't understand how you can be so negative, yet call yourself a "supporter". Makes no sense to put yourself through the misery and expense if you're just going to whine like a baby and hold a candle to Rovers.

Hopefully we can use the WC to find a hidden gem! Theres definitely going to be plenty of talent on show!

I'm not to bothered about signing another project, we've got a pretty well balanced squad now and they'd just block one of our youngsters.

We've got a full cap so if we release anyone hopefully we can find a better replacement.

Me too, sign better replacements or leave it as we are.

I hope we don't go down the same route as Rovers and sign some unknown and unproven PNG players that could potentially block the pathway to a young player.

I didn't understand AP's comment about waiting to look at players in the WC. Surely we should know enough about any player chosen for a WC team that we might be thinking of signing without having to watch them in one potentially one sided game? Even if we're just waiting until the player in question is in the UK to me that seems to just invite competition for their signature if they're any good? Hopefully it was just bull for the media.
