Where did I say they did know each other in the second half? I said they upped the tempo. You were beaten in the second half then by a team that by your own admission still did not know each other. I wonder what will happen when we do? Incidentally you attached your response to the wrong post

Did I say that? I thought I said I wonder what will happen when we do. I assume you are expecting FC will also improve before we meet again. Do not read into things that are not there.

Yawn. Move on its getting boring now

Whilst I agree, what I also saw (certainly in the first half) was big improvements to a few areas we struggled with last year, one being the kicking and the other our attacking play, particularly down the right. We certainly aren't the finished article and there are a few sort out, but I still think we are miles ahead of last year, with a much better squad, there is no reason we shouldn't improved on last season.

Fair point - I agree we're further on (Fev was a nightmare) and I'm optimistic - but past failings must be addressed.

When the going got tough when KR were coming back at us and then had their purple patch I was looking at the personnel on the pitch thinking where is the spark coming from to get us back into the game? Whilst in the first half when we were in the ascendancy any number of players looked as though they could step up it had seemingly all changed and no one looked up to it. It wasn't a physical thing , or anything to do with lack of effort it just seemed to be that mentality that we've seen for a number of seasons now and seemingly regardless of who's wearing the shirt or coaching us. Maybe it was the interchanges , maybe we "ran out of gas" because of the penaltly count and lack of possession? I hope so but it did all just seem very familiar.

We may have improved our squad but so have rovers, catalans and salford, all of whom finished above us last year.
