In all seriousness though he's a fantastic player and would be a huge loss for anybody in Super League, the fact that some of your fans are now trying to gloss over the cracks with his supposed exit is just plain daft. Everytime I've seen him play for you guys hes always been a very consistent performer. His main attribute I like about him is his ability to shrug away from tackles he has fantastic upper body strength for a player of his size. A sad loss for FC fans IF this is true but one allot of Wiganers like myself will welcome with open arms.

How people can say they are not bothered if an England international leaves? Shocking really but then I am sure if he stays he will once again become the best winger in SL

Obviously we want Tom to stay but he would have signed by now, any Hull fan would wish him the best if he went to Australia but to go anywhere else in England hurts the fans but would rather see him at Wigan than Leeds.

Theres no sense in dragging it out. Briscoe said his future would be resolved by march its now may, its obvious his heart isn't in it to stay at the club so pull the contract offer and look at strengthening with players who want to be here.

Big loss and I would him to stay, but certainly feel better now that we have Lineham coming through, also impressed with Crookes and also think Shaul could cover the wing.

Another positive would be it would free up a big amount of cap and I'm not sure spending big on a winger is the best option for us at the moment, I'd certainly look at Broughton who is OOC and who we should have signed previously.

Like Ellam says still disappointed if he signs for another SL club, but if it's Wigan or Leeds I wouldn't blame him.

You clearly do post drivel. Briscoe has a lot of flaws in his game. Especially without the ball. Shouldn't have now with his experience

Could it be that we have told him we will wait until all is resolved in Oz with a view that he would sign for us if it all falls through. Now it would seem that he will not be going to Oz he may well take the huge offer from us. In his case I think he is worth waiting for. Tickle on the other hand is not as he will not improve over the life of a 2 or 3 year contract.

I doubt Broughton will come, he's got a good job as a lawyer (I think) Manchester way

Edit: Just looked on Wikipedia (far from gospel I know) and it says he has a part time job as a quantity surveyor in Doncaster. Maybe I'm just imagining him working as a lawyer in Manchester!

A fantastic player who will be a massive loss if he decides to leave, cannot believe some of the crap posted on here at times.

players come and go, we have decent wingers, need to strengthen in other areas next season with a prop retiring and a second row probabaly leaving and another retiring. if he goes to wigan good luck to him, he's honoured his contract and given 100% for us despite what some on here think

Time to let us know what is happening with Briscoe.

Deadlines have come and gone and still no word.

If he was staying he would surely have signed by now.

Personally, as good as Briscoe can be, i would be quite happy with Crookes and Lineham as our wingers.

Hear in lay the problem with "Hull born" players.

Crooks has done very well in the short space of time he has been in the team.

Briscoe has been a star player in a faultering team for the previous 2 seasons.

Briscoe's problem is not himself, its the total lack of service he gets. If he had the service that the likes of Charnley and Hall get, he would be scoring 30 plus tries every season

The Wigan rumour as a replacement for Richards has been running for a couple of weeks and probably has legs.

Would be dissapointed to see him leave, had a great game on Friday and will be interesting to see if that continues with DJ and Ellis providing more service to the left flank, no coincidence that Yeamo also had his best game in a long while on Friday.

If he goes to another super league club i'll be disappointed. He said himself he wanted to go down under. I've heard cronulla are still interested in him.

Briscoe was born closer to Hull than Crooks was

I think the Cronulla one has now fallen through with all the scandal they have been involved in over there.

I wonder if things are delayed until he knows what is happening at Wigan - as well as losing Richards, Hock and Mossop next year, Tomkins and Wane are rumoured to be going to the Warriors - so the Wigan side will be significantly weakened

Someone said on twitter that Cronulla where still interested in Briscoe. But, as you say Wigan seem interested also so only time will tell.
