1st Point i'd like to make is, Houghton needs to practice passing right alot more. To many times his dodgy passes are at our players legs. I no it's hard if your a right handed player but it's professional rugby league.
I thought we were unlucky with some dubious refereeing decisions. How on earth the touch judge could not see the knock on in the second half, but what was worse was Bentham ruled back to 1. There was no FC player in sight.
Overall the performance was good, But to be honest i were expecting it as we were up against a good team.
Last thing, what actually happened in that little scuffle after Ogre's try?? All i saw was a quick pass by Miller sent Ogre crashing over then there was fighting.'"
Watch the Ellis tackle on the TV before the O'Meley try clear head contact although clumsy not deliberate and the rule is quite clear a penalty should be awarded.
Two weeks ago we had one chalked off against Saints when Ady Gardner slipped into one of our props Stuart Cumins explained the rule on sky 'Bent' 'Ham' was bad for both sides not just us and he saved you three tries by spotting forward passes which is unusual for him !!!!

Spot on. As long as misguided praise is heaped on our local England no 9 candidate no doubt we'll continue to play slow disjointed rugby. Houghton: great guy , tries ljke mad , scoots well , tackles well for 70 minutes , can't pass.

As well as constant holding down, markers not square, couple of head high shots of yours he failed to give - he was awful for BOTH teams today, no point trying to make out either side were harder done by cos they weren't.

Not at all, we never are, no team is - my point was that the officials gave bad calls against BOTH teams, neither team really benefitted from these calls more than the other IMO, The calls against you didnt cost you the game, neither the ones against us didnt cost us, we won the game in the end through you having a try disallowed (rightly) for offside and us going up the other end and scoring. Whether decisions earlier would have or have not led to tries for either team is debatable for both sides.

the knock on in the build up to your first try cost us 6 points, the final score being a 6 point difference!

However, Anderson did not hold back in the post-match press conference when he labelled the big tackle by Ellis that left the Huddersfield scrum-half flat out on the field as a shoulder charge.
Anderson said: "The tackle was a straight shoulder charge to the head. He's not knocked out for no reason.
"There are five people out there, one with the whistle, two with the flags and two muppets that stand at the other end of the field that don't see anything.
"It's a stone-cold shoulder charge to the head. I'm like Peter Gentle last week when Justin Poore dropped somebody on his head.
"Nothing will get done about our one, straight right shoulder to the head, it's a penalty. Luke is coming round; he knows he's in Hull at the minute."
Hull FC coach Peter Gentle counted Anderson's claims.
He said: "I just had another look at Gareth Ellis' tackle on the video. He [Paul Anderson better come and have a look at the video I've got. I didn't see anything wrong with it, not at all.

Holdsworth isn't that small tbh and I reckon we could do with as many potential ball players out there as possible because at the moment we aren't causing opposition defences any trouble at all. But I take your point, what do you suggest?

In France we need nasty aggressive hairy @rsed forwards who will stamp their mark on the game early and look after our halves
We haven't got any though.
In the last two weeks we've seen our smaller players smashed by at the very least contentious hits , where was the reaction from our forwards? We have no enforcers , no one who the opposition worry about.
It's a simple game , go forward first and earn the right to move it wide. I hope that PG finds a new motivational system to gee his forwards up for next week.

Nothing wrong with it at all! Right shoulder to back of head, left hand above the shoulder- But he was gunning for poore last week.....
Eorl should have walked? That's not what Anderson was saying about Ellis- he was saying it was a penalty- which you can see from the picture it was.
I'm sure eorl will go up in front of the beaks if necessary- but it didnt cost you 6 points. Any contact to the head whether deliberate or not is a penalty- according to the referee last week. So that's you down six. Knock of the two scored from forward passes- as pointed out by the commentators on superleague full time and you really would have a load to whinge about. Ellis should have bent his back a bit more- seems from reading comments on this board that's what the majority are saying about you team in general anyway!

| Easy,Horne at scrum half and Holdsworth at stand off, they are still the best half backs at the club,Miller might get to their level, but isn't there yet.
The Catalan match is too important to be still bedding in player's,play these two in their correct position's and Crook at centre and I think we'll win.
