I saw they have signed a couple of loan, hoping that means we have called him back and will use him unlike before when they called him back, then played him in the reserves.

I'm convinced if we continue to play our current halfs we will slide down the table and not finish in the play offs, the same might happen if we play Hookem and Balmforth, but at least we will have tried something different and given them much needed experience.

With the massive changes that will be occurring at the club, this group of 18s will be the 1st age group to have a clear pathway and early integration to the first team environment. I really believe the things we have coming will give us the ability to bring the best kids from around the country into our system.

Obviously Balmforths 2nd try is the most eye catching try but his ruck manipulation to set up Laidlaw is the kind of skill which will transfer over to 1st grade.

Is it legal for a hooker to pretend to go one way and then go the other? Seems like cheating to me. I mean, if it was allowed then wouldn't our other hookers do it?

Who are the halves in the academy team currently? Next week I'd expect we start with Lovodua and Hookem in the halves, with Balmforth on the bench to interchange with Houghton. Who's the next cab off the rank for a pivot place?

Intrigued to see the likes of Staveley, Severs and Balmforth in the first team soon hopefully, feel it's the right time now to add some fresh impetus and the energy that a young player with something to prove has to offer. Enthusiasm will go a long way in the eyes of the fans right now.

Sully Medforth is playing 6 for Yorkshire tomorrow. He's only 17 so it will be a while before we see him near the first team. He's looked decent when I've seen him but I've no idea if he will make it at this point.

Anyone know the score from the origin match, I'm sure last season I watched in on our league app, but now can't even find the score anywhere?

I was trying to find something yesterday and couldn't. In the past few days the England RL twitter account has been making quite a few posts about it. There were even coaches interviews before the game posted a couple of hours before the game. Since then they haven't even posted the result. Pretty amateur stuff to try building it up like that then not even post game updates, and to seemingly completely ignore the end result is just bizarre.
I would even have expected Hull to put something out there about the game considering how well represented we were, but can't find anything.

Lancashire won 38-20, not sure how the FC lads got on as I was at Craven Park
