| Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "We just don't have enough of an xfactor in attack. If we are on top in a game and we can dominate it and play it on our terms then we will win. But when we are slightly on the back foot or even just in an arm wrestle I have no confidence in our ability to score. It feels like we need to turn the screw on a team and build pressure for ages before we can find a score. Sometimes you just need cheap points, and we just don't seem to have them in us. Against Wigan in the league I never felt for a moment that we would win once we went 16-14 down. Again tonight, as soon at Catalans leveled I knew we were done.
Hodgson has done a great job on our defence and our general attitude. He needs to turn his attention to our attacking play now. Granted the lack of props isn't helping us, but we need to find some more ways to score.'"
Has to come down to the pivots, we need a 2nd hooker with some zip, we are relying on Connor, Reynolds has been ok, but he has an injury and is settling in so he gets the benefit of the doubt, but Sneyd, been average for the last couple of years. When was the last time he set up a try not from a kick?

| Props was an issue, but we had enough ball particularly in the first half to win that game

| I do think we have enough X factor in attack the problem is we're not getting close enough to to the opposition 20 to out it to use, the few times we did we almost scored every time but for a couple of errors or deemed forward passes , it's the pack that needs strengthening

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

| Hopefully this galvanises us going forward. We know we’re capable after the cup game, and for all the bemoaning of our attack we’ve shown some real strike already this season. The sky isn’t falling down just yet.

It's both, our pack dominated last week and we still struggled to score, relying on Sataecto power over.
We need another prop and improve our bench, but our attack also needs to improve.

We definitely left some points on the pitch in the first half. The final pass let us down a couple of times.
All in all a pretty poor performance.

Needs to look no further than how ineffective Sneyd is as an attacking half back.
Always said the lack of another big front row will come back to bite us and was so evident tonight.
We have to find some speed in the backs. Our backs have to be the slowest in S/L
What i fail to understand was our bench
Johnstone plays 10 minutes and Scott would not have played at all if it hadnt have been for a head knock to Carlos.
Big lesson tonight for Hodgson.
Must have been the influence of the Union coach throwing all those forward passes

| In Super League weve only beaten Hudds and Salford convincingly - We was average against Warrington, Wakefield and Wigan and poor tonight against Catalans
6 games in - 2 decent performances, 3 average, 1 poor - lots of work ahead and as many have said we need another front row now.

| Really poor tongiht and agree that Hodgson made an error of judgment with the bench choice.
Hope our terrible home form of recent years isn't going to continue.

| Hardly ever seen a good game against Catalan. Always niggled and messed about at the play the ball, no matter who coaches them.
That said we were disappointing with ball in hand. Think the squad is unbalanced as well. That will hopefully get addressed once BH gets chance.

| Thought tonight you’d have thought we were on a on a short turnaround, thought our line speed was poor tonight compared to previous weeks.
Think Hodgson also got it wrong tonight in terms of the bench. We lacked size so don’t understand why Brown & Faraimo weren’t on the bench. Just don’t see the attraction of Cameron Scott in 17 tbh. We seem to have reverted to flogging Houghton for 80mins again, after 60 mins he looked out on his feet. So why didn’t we use Johnstone instead of waiting for nearing 74 mins but then still keep Houghton out. We might as well not bothered having Johnstone or Scott on the bench as Scott only came in when Los went off and Johnstone didn’t even get 10 mins so pointless really.
Losing Carlos hurt us and hope he’ll be ok for next game.
We need another forward with some size quickly as once Satae & Sao were off then Cator and Fash were just far too small against a big Catalans pack. Though I thought Fash for his size did pretty well.
For all the good stuff in terms of improvement we’ve seen so far this season tonight showed we are still a long way off.
Our attacking plays when in the Catalans 20 were poor tonight and it was predictable with no variation.
Really disappointing home coming

No way is Sneyd the best kicker around, goal kicks maybe, but his in field kicking game hasn't been great for the past couple of years.
