It is although Wigan have used 5 drives and a kick on several sets coming away from their own line. It's the right thing to do and when they have had better field position they have then been more expansive. The play by O'Loughlin for the try to go blind was superb vision. The biggest thing about this game over the others is the quality of players on show is much higher, and the referee is not dominating the game like the others wanted to do.

not bad, but you could argue that Wigan-Saints would have done 23K at the DW alone. Still not completely convinced by the 'magic' concept, the atmosphere seemed dead yet again. Whereas Wigan-Saints at 16-16 with a few mins to go would have been a hell of an atmosphere at the DW or Knowsley Road (same as it would for the other derby's)

| Thought the best game of the day was the first, Hudds looked very strong I thought. Wire having some bad luck with injuries for once! Cas looked to play some good stuff at times, again the Rangi show. Quins/Cats was a snore fest. If we aren't thrashing them both there is something up. Saints vs. Wigan match had some good parts too, some great backing up and good lines. I know they are missing some personnel, but I thought Saints looked very ordinary at times, however they upped their game when it counted. Wigan looked to get a bit frustrated at the end, and they seem to have grown VERY arrogant. Both Tomkins having little paddys when it wasn't going their way. Bring on tomorrow!

What annoys me the most is that Sky give them the time of day by filming there 'warm up'. If it was in the middle of our derby it would have not been happy!

| Hudds were the most impressive team of the day for me. Never watched the Quins match. Cas were ok with Chase being the standout and Wigan and Saints was a decent match. Saints looked poor going forwward but once Soliola goes to the centres and Pryce and Perry come back into the side they should look better balanced. Wigan were defensively solid until the penalties came late on.

How big did Hudds look, they have so many options when they attack the line its crazy. With Robinson to come in aswell they'll be right up there. Cant wait for LOD to have a go with someone
Wire looks clueless at times but i suppose they had a lot of injuries before and during the game, Myler was a walking penalty machine.
Quins and Cats was awfull, you didnt miss much. Burnett went well though when he was on looked dangerous running outwide.
Wakefield and Cas for me was ok, when Wakefield get Jeffries back he'll bring some much needed ideas in attack. Cas looked good in attack ( well Rangi did ) but very poor in D#.
Saints and Wigan was a really good game, Didnt know Eastmond was playing, Roby is going to be awesome this year. Wigans D# was really impressive and was unlucky not to come away with the win which i think they deserved. SOL is a machine.

Eastmond has a shocker, constantly played in front of the defence all night. He never once committed a defender or too the ball to the line and Wheeler and Lomas were also poor, sometimes Saints youngsters are overhyped imo. Roby had a great game and will be Saints most important player this season.
