We are well off form with or without him and trouble on camp.We didn't get Brierley for nothing and relieving him off captaincy duties in my mind spelt the end. First rumours I heard were a couple of weeks back going to leeds, but if he was to go rather to you guys but I fear his best days are well behind him. Could tell yesterday his mind was elsewhere, he was okay attacking wise but went awol defensively . If it is to be believed then I wish him all the best as he has been a great servant for our club.

Oh I think we can safely say his best days are behind him. If we had a chance to sign him a couple of years ago it would have been a no brainer, but the more I think about it the more I think we should just steer clear.

Judging by the comments of the Hudds fans he's still producing the goods even if his mind is elsewhere. And if he wants away and is desperate to sign a contract he wants which is on the table it's hardly surprising his mind is 'elsewhere'.

I know my post reads as though I'm continuing the rumours but I was trying to point out that the character assassination is already out there, after Kosh hinted it would appear on the board. No, I knew what you meant, you were just reporting it. I've no idea what the truth is here, either about Brough's off the pitch situation or whether he's staying/moving or whether if the latter we're in with a shout. As jools has said though, let's not pretend he's a bang average playmaker. He's still one of the best in the comp. Age and attitude play into the mix of course but I do have seeing a Hull FC 40/20 on my bucket list so for that reason alone I'd like it to be an option to explore.

Had to chuckle yesterday when the Wire players backslapped Sandow for his imaginary 40/20. He was that convinced, he tried to get Mr. Hicks to review it on the big screen
