| Quote Fc Til I Die 316="Fc Til I Die 316"I recently watched the under 20's play huddersfield and there were quite a few stand out youngsters for me...
The team was:
Reece Lazenby, Crawford Matthews, Ben Crooks, Nev Morrison, Reece Lynne, Jack Pickerill, Lee Williams, Josh Bowden, James Newton, Jack Aldous, Liam Kent, Liam Cunningham, Chris Green. Subs, Laurence Pearce, Ryan Spouse, Alec Norris, Danny Bloom.
Reece Lynn we all know about as he has already played for the first team and is a quality player...however...i saw a young lad called Reece Lazenby at Full Back and I must say, he excites me a lot. He reminds me of a lot of Tomkins or Wellens...and also Shaun Briscoe.
We lack an attacking FB since Briscoe has left imo. Whiting is too good a player to stick at full back imo. As clarky says he is a hell of a player in any position. Lazenby, however, could be one for the future. He scored a try and almost set up a second v hudders and he looks to attack the opposition as soon as he recieves the ball. He is a link up full back with great potential! he has played twice so far and has played really well both times. Hopefully no other super league team will pinch him before he makes the first team!
I hope he gets a chance in the first team because he really could be one for the future in what looks to be he natural position as a full back.
As i say there is some quality young players in the under 20's and fingers crossed people like reece lazenby will be given the chance to play in the first team.
Off to follow the under 20's away to wigan next before a few home matches so hope some of the faithful can come and watch the youngsters continue their impressive start to the season.
COME ON YOU ULLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!'"
Looking at that side it has real potential to develop. Like the look of the pack with Newton, Kent and Cunningham to add to the props discussed in the other thread of Bowden, Aldous and Green. Could be a monster FC pack for the next 10 years if they all develop.

| Is Jack Briscoe injured?
And I seem to remember that when Reece Lyne first broke through he was being touted as a centre. If he's playing Wing for the 20s does this spell the end for any ambitions of playing centre? Or are the other options just as good/ better than him?
Or I've just made all of that up!

I believe that Reece played centre last year but as he's seen as needing to play on the wing in the 1st team for this year at least theyve decided to play him wing in the 20s to support his development there. Not a long term strategy, just one that supports his familiarisation with the role etc.

Exactly... if they all make it. The likes of Kent and Cunningham have to be given some game time soon. If Agar doesnt put some trust in our youngsters like Mcguire has done at Wigan they'll never develop to the right standard.
It's exciting to think:
Hooker - Newton and Houghton.
Props - Green, Aldous and Bowden to join Moa.
Back row - Kent, Cunningham and possible Pearce.
13 - Westerman
All young guys with big futures.

Plenty of quality full backs in the production line then!
Behind Lazenby we have Saul Beavis who is getting big raps and behind him is Ryan Langton an U15 player selected for England U16.
All we need is a similar stock of scrum halfs.

Agar must be getting sick of been accused of stockpiling backrowers so he is aiming for full-backs now.

He'll just see how he can bulk them up to turn them into back rower or hookers.

From what I understand we will be lucky to have Aldous beyond this season. He's wanted by others and not impressed with the way he's being handled. He's a fanatical Hull fan too.

Beavis will be infront of Lazenby by the end of the season.
I think people are jumping the gun with regards to who will cut it. It's great if you get 2 of your 21s to cut into the 1st team i think people are dreaming when they say 6,7 players will make the grade.
IMO in the current 21s the only players who may make the grade is Green and Bowden.
We've had better 21s in the last few years than the current and only Houghton and Briscoe have broke into the squad. Before people say Lyne and Nicklas, they've played a few games but have hardly broke into the 1st team.
