| Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "I was happy with what Reynolds did when he was on the field. I know a lot of fans were underwhelmed but our attack with and without him looked very different indeed. He didn't grab the headlines very often but linked really well with Connor and our backs seemed to have a lot more space when he was playing. The issue is his injuries. We need him to be much luckier in 2022.'"
Reminds me a bit of Terry Campese for us. Great Rugby brain and organizer but now in his twilight year.

Possibly although Reynolds missed ten games this season whereas Campese missed eleven in 2015 and nineteen in 2016 (I think this is right, please let me know if I've got my sums wrong).

Of course, your CEOs have always been true and forthright. Erm, new ground!!! and a covered stand for away supporters, that away supporters can’t use because we’re segregated, bit like the U.S. and South Africa in the dark ages.
This is tongue in cheek, by the way, before you get all hot and bothered.

Of the ones he did play in 2016, my recollection is that he had to go off early with new or recurring injuries in 2 or 3 as well. Absolutely fabulous player when fit, but the reason he was in SL in the first place wasn’t he often wasn’t. Strangely mixed feelings, thinking back to him. Even Albert Kelly, div that he is/was - there were times when he gave and did a lot more than many of the teammates who he eventually let down… and I’d be the last person to criticise someone for not buying into Jamie Peacock’s dispiriting vision.
While I don’t think Reynolds is quite on the transforms-the-team-when-he-plays level of TC, I think you posted some stats about your record with and without Reynolds that were quite striking. Hull’s form did drop off a cliff, and it might just be that he was absent for a chunk of that rather than his absence being a major factor in it - you’re much better placed to judge than me.
I must admit, I’m glad to see the back of Sneyd in a Hull shirt. Those crossfield kicks were stereotyped, but it is such an effective tactic, if done well, and even knowing it is coming doesn’t seem to shift the odds much. Hopefully he won’t get the field position to do it us as much now he’s at Salford.

I posted on the Sneyd thread that those crossfield kicks have been so effective largely due to who was on the end of them, mainly Connor. Sneyd might be gone, but Connor isn't and he will still be there to make any half decent kick look like a world beater.
Personally I don't think we will lose anything in the field kicking department next season.

I think the figures were something like there were only nine games when Connor/Reynolds/Sneyd all played and we won eight of them. We missed all of them for different reasons but Reynolds definitely offered that spark in attack as well as seemingly lifting his teammates with his attitude on the pitch. Had he not finished his season in the derby I'm pretty sure we'd have made the six.

Nar not hot and bothered the ground as you point out is a saga. It is underway though all new floodlights have been installed, the East Stand and North Terrace are just awaiting planning on a unit by the motorway to release the cash however as usual this is a saga. If and it's a big IF the planning is sorted then the stands will start very quickly possibly before the season starts. However the planning that was due to be heard on the 18th November has been postponed by the Local Authority.
So season after next all being well you will have an opportunity to visit it modernised along with a 4g pitch. Let's see

Hope the 4g pitch is for training and not playing on. Teams will be wearing gloves, plus elbow and knee pads, or even worse, resorting to Hudgell’s ambulance chasers, for recompense, due to plastic burns.

Professional contact sports teams should all be looking to replicate the type of pitch that Arsenal play on.
Although its 100% grass it also contains natural granulated cork and synthetic microfibre.
These type of pitches can take a lot more useage but more important lower the risk of ACL injury and head injury if the player hits his head on the ground
