Sutcliffe can make a break but lacks real pace but that's where supporting wings, fullback and 2nd rowers come in (Okunbor and Scott both with pace).
I'm going to reserve judgement until I've seen McIntosh and Tindall in action first.
McIntosh finished the season strong and so I hope he builds on that.
Tindall has real pace but lacks SL experience so I'll remain optimistic.
We have Mitch, Barron and Martin as back up and I rate Mitch.
My only concern is Carlos in the centres and Lane in the 2nd row.
Our team doesn't look too shabby overall it's the mindset I hope that changes over this preseason.
Too many times we've seen players give up during the season as also alluded to in Ellis's book.

In all seriousness they are probs chasing those who havent renewed and giving them one last nudge before releasing the seats.

It would make sense to get derby tickets on sale ASAP too, a few may buy as Xmas presents.

What determines how early players come over? Why did Pele come over so early but ese'ese only coming over now? Understand with brown that he was involved in the internationals so will be allowed a bit more time off

He also said players can only apply for a visa once their contracts come into force so guess that was 1st November? As you say pretty decent to get them here in the time frame and that Brown would be afforded another couple of weeks because of his involvement with New Zealand’s Pacific cup run. I’d expect him to be another couple of weeks but then again, if they’re allowed Christmas and New year back in Oz, he may as well come over afterwards?

Club saying 7k passes sold which has been hit slightly earlier than last year. Overall we sold 8.3k last year so on track to hit that.

Excellent news and support from the clubs fans which in all honesty is likely to be majority of what would be classed as hard core fans. Hopefully the turnaround of players can start to show the clubs supporters be it fans or commercial sponsors some form of repayment for the efforts.

I’m also pleased for AP that the club has been backed so well again as regardless of what some may say, without him the club would be in a much poorer state.

Hopefully we can beat the membership numbers of last season and if we can get off to a decent start we can increase the pay on the gate numbers each week.

Great effort to surpass 7K this early, I know a lot of people who don't sort out their passes till after Christmas/new Year so I think we have a good chance of bettering last years total.

Bit concerned about the Cator interview in the HDM today, says that the play is for Cator to move to hooker when Houghton goes off. This should not be happening, when Houghton goes off we need someone with a bit of spark, not someone who has no attacking threat and is there just to tackle. We have a dew better options at 9 than Cator and based on last season he shouldn't be in the 17 anyway.

Really hope we don't waste the potential talent Balmforth has.

Only way i can see it is if we have some sort of injury disaster during a game. Unless Smith manages to transform Cator into some world class 9 (which won't happen).

We'll have Brown, Smith, Houghton, Balmforth and Hodgson. No need for Cator to move to hooker.

Cator does mention Balmforth as a possible 13. If he's on top of his fitness I hope he gets a decent crack next year
