I really can't stand Cockayne, but I have to give credit that every time I've seen Wakey this year he's been one of their best players. Based upon nothing else other than playing ability at this moment in time, I'd find it hard to justify picking any of Lyne, Crookes, or Lineham ahead of him.

| hope the kid does well, we asked him to switch to full back when he would have much prefared to have stayed on the wing we gave a couple of goes there start of the year then never gave him another chance he was an out an out winger another kid we built up then discarded this kid was a star for Enland academy and our only representive in the team we are in all honesty crap at developing our own kids i just hope this changes because we have some great young kids comming through and they are head and shoulders above the respective kids at other clubs lets see how many we bring through in the coming years

each to their own, understand the point earlier about Lyne's chances in the team, Cockayne has played well at Wakefield from what i've seen too, but I would pick Lineham ahead of him and probably Crookes as well, but not Lyne

I don't really think I've even said anything anti-black and white, that's the weird thing. All I've dared to suggest is that another team arguably have 2 wingers who Lyne might find it harder to get past than ours with the exception of Briscoe.

I'd go with Lineham on the grounds of potential, and possibly Crookes too. I was merely trying to point out that I think Lyne will have at least as hard a job getting game time at Wakey as he would here, as they have 2 established wingers who have played very well this year, which by extension is something we arguably haven't got.

Lyne was physically mature from quite a young age and so he always stood out when at younger levels. I think that he struggled more once the rest of the players caught up with him physically.
He's a good athlete - very fast, well built, and has all the physical attributes - but I don't know if he has the 'rugby brain' needed to succeed at this level. He also hasn't outwardly appeared motivated during his appearances for us.
He always appeared to be a favourite of Agar's so I imagine that he'll get a fair go if either Cockayne or Fox are injured, but I'm not expecting much from him if I'm honest.

That same rugby brain that decided to kick ahead in the dying seconds when cornered against Crusaders on the touchline and run into the Cru players basically winning us a soft penalty for Ticks to convert & win us the game. As a winger you're not been asked to have the speed of thought/brain as a half, certainly he's no fullback.
I just don't think he's had the opportunity to develop, certainly not under Agar anyways. Needed to be loaned out somewhere to hone his talents instead of rotting in the 20s.
Hope the lad does well.

| I hope he does well too however been watching the game too many years to know a good winger from a bang average one , would love to see him do well but unfortunately apart from the fact he is unlikely to get any taller or stronger now i think he will struggle to come to much , would say he has possibly peaked already ??? lets hope he proves me wrong
