If he could be seen to have made the effort, people would not have minded so much. For the Council Leader to say that they were brought in too late to influence the negotiations indicates to me that solutions could indeed have been found with the right determination.

But don't forget, in his own words, Duffen's decision is final and, frighteningly, there is no complaints procedure.

Sorry to piddle on you chips ladies, but that Private Eye thing's been doing the rounds for many months and has been roundly put to bed even by the most rabid negative types. If you work with some City fans that are getting jumpy about it, they must be poorly informed or simply humouring you.

As for the rest of it, some of you really need to get help for ther chips on your shoulders. Why you can't be happy for the City of Hull to have a succesful football team and get on with following your own sport is lost on me. It smacks of envy.

The accounts were mentioned in Private Eye at the back end of last season, the reasons for the hold up are well documented in a number of interviews and financial statements have been accepted by the Premier League and the results published . Sorry if that spoils your excitement.


As for "new" fans, our gates have gone up quite gently since the change to the new stadium, even though Premier League away fans don't seem to travel. There's a fair amount af fans that used to go to some games, that now go to most, but yes there's some pillocks that've latched on, I just thought they'd jumped over from FC. I don't think too many City fand hate RL as plenty have a lot of time for Rovers. I suppose the more mature attitude of their fans has something to do with that.

As for Duffen, I don't really understand why you hate him, bet then again, looking at what you've put about the RL's mess up with the Internationals, you seem to prefer to dislike Duffen rather than face the truth about those that run RL.
