Probably been said on previous pages but think I would be pointing the finger more at the players.That first half defensive effort was a shambles.You cannot blame the coach for that

I felt really sorry for your fans tonight, they turned up in their thousands and were treated to that dire performance. The way Brough went after the game made me think he has the longest grudge in RL history. He was dropped for the 2005 play off game v Bradford for the Kiwi. I know everyone said at the time it was a terrible decision by JK and they were right, and geez didn't he enjoy himself tonight.

Just like us you'll have to find something else to do over the winter until we all dream of a better 2014, i'd suggest getting along to a few World Cup games to keep you ticking over.

Oh great just what we need a new coach and another season of transition next year then another season after that to let the new coaches squad bed in, I'm not saying gentle is completely blameless but unless we can guarantee we can get a top class proven winner as a coach then why get rid anything less then that is just us going round in circles.

Dont get me wrong I'm as disappointed as everyone else about the score tonight but I think the players have a lot to answer for. If I was AP I would be having a word with the players because too many of them just didn't look interested, too many players falling off tackles and been lazy and not showing any enthusiasm from minute one, I think tonight's result had a lot to do with the players attitude and commitment I don't think any player tonight can say they gave it their all they just didn't want it as much as the hudds players did and that's not always the coaches fault, it's up to the players to execute the game plan but if they carnt be d then the coach is f**ked and on a hiding to nothing.

The hull players haven't covered themselves in any glory tonight.

The players were pretty desolate after the game and didn't look to me like they just didn't care. We were though as usual a disorganised rabble throughout the game with no one capable of organising the simplest of plays. The fact that they were probably trying makes it much harder to resolve because it confirms what many of us have known for a long time. That we have too many average and past it players and that our recruitment is actually exacerbating the situation. Again our players seem to be the thickest bunch in the RL , so slow in thought and generally lacking any sharpness. I can only think that Gentle is coaching like he would coach a good quality and bright aussie side but that the average guys here just don't understand , many haven't got the necessary skills and the rest are killing themselves making up for their colleagues shortcomings. Where do we go from here? I haven't got a clue and I'm not sure anyone at the club has either.

For every good performance such as Leeds (once), Warrington (twice), Catalans (twice), rovers (once) there have been twice as many inadequate performances where we have scraped through against a poor team or been beaten easily. Widnes, Bradford, Leeds, London and Cas away, Wigan at wembley, rovers, Huddersfield and Wakefield at home. Last night followed the same script.

Too many AVERAGE players giving AVERAGE performances and seemingly unable to follow a game plan (again and again and again).

The buck stops in one place. He is a nice guy, maybe too nice. Gentle has to go.

Problem for Pearson is now McRae has gone hes got nobody at the club who can advise on a new coach so will probably stick with Gentle. Pearson could end up being the worst thing that ever happened to us

Seems like a great guy but hasn't improved anything on the pitch while he's been here. (Our defense is down to Hay/Radford). He simply has to go!

I'm glad to see the back of Tickle, he has been absolute garbage this season. It would be nice if Gentle could take some of his shocking recruitment with him as well because Johnson, Crookes, Holdsworth, Ellis, Arundel have done very little to take us forward but we're stuck with them for 2014. Miller, I'm not sure about but he's young enough to be given a chance under a decent coach.

I don't imagine that Thompson, Feka and god knows who else next season will give us anything but the same old same old "fight for the eight"

As for Yeaman? Christ on a bike! How the hell is he still considered to be a first choice centre at a so-called big club? He played like a 50 year old last night and the sooner we can convince him to leave, the better.

Yes hes invested in youth but we now have an owner who by his won admission doesn't know a lot about RL and he now has nobody to help him with big decisions on players/coaching etc

I agree with you and i have said it in the past, how many times have we heard i am proud of the boys, we trained well all week, i am sorry for all the supporters who came tonight?I and many others spent a lot of money going to Wembley and supporting the side this & past seasons but its the same old crap but a different day time to change the record.

Plenty on here saying he should go but still to see anyone name anyone who would be good enough or available.

I think the issue is deeper than just sacking the coach. For me there seems to be no penalty for the players when THEY dish out the sort of display and its not like it was unfortunate as we have seen it far too often.
The players should take 80% of the blame for last night as they just weren't interested from the off. I'm pretty sure Gentle didnt tell them to fall off tackles or not even make them or just jog back. The players really need to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror and ask themselves if they have honestly earnt their pay this season.
They all seem to think they are infallible.

Looking at the current squad it is average and doesn't look at present at being any better next season and for me when seem to be paying over the odds to be spendingneR the full cap and getting that served up.

For me nothing has changed on the pitch apart from seeing a crop of young players come through. We are still so hit & miss in terms of performance it's beyond laughable & we are clueless out on the pitch. The old 'we're ripping it up in training' didnt wash under the old regime & certainly isn't now.

Frankly we are in a complete mess and not looking good for 2014.

After 7/8 years of the same sh/t are we ever going to get an answer to our problems which no one seems to be able to recity.

Why not give a promising English coach a chance. Wigan, Huddersfield and Leeds seem to be doing alright. The only Aussie coach worth any sort of praise is the legend Tony Smith.
