That just proves that they are good at using the opportunities they are given.
After a victory like last nights its easy to put the negatives to one side. I also appreciate we were playing one of the most potent attacking teams in the league, but the ease and frequency at which they scored down our right hand side really neads addressing. I don't want to single out Whiting, he has been very good for us in an unfamiliar postion and he was not helped out by his centre / second rower, but the sooner we have Calderwood back fit, the more secure that wing will look.

There were several occasions the numpty didn't stop the clock when he should have so it probably evened itself out.

Correct, but he does give the signals for the timekeeper to stop and start play. One of two things must have happened last night.
1) The ref gave the signal to restart the clock but the timekeeper was busy munching on his hotdog and didn't see it.
2) The Ref didn't give a signal to restart the clock.
Either way, this needs investigating by the RFL.

| He says when time is stopped and re-started though Hutchie.
And Chico's Nose, I didn't mean it that way.

| The crowd certainly got angry with him during that first half last night. A lot of the penalties given to Saints were fair though and we need to stop buggering about at the ruck.

| I thought Bentham was embarrassing in the first half
The clock was stopped for at least a minute, and as the game ended on the clock hitting zero it must be the game clock.
Can anyone tell me why we were penalised when Long cruised by Leon Pryce playing statues? I was mystified as my eyes were just on Long running at, through and beyond Pryce.

Even if the ref doesn't start the clock with a signal, the TK will restart the timer when play restarts. The Tk is named on the RFL website on the appointments page.

Aaahhh, simple that one...
What happened was, we broke the Sts defence far to easily and that in itself is not allowed!! I thought it was a very fair decision based on the tripe officiating that i'd witnessed for the previous 40mins!!
