I doubt any SL club will take the risk on Motu until he is fully fit.

His issue is going to be the quota position, not easy for clubs to take a punt with the reducing quota.

He counts as Federation Trained from November on.

Apparently so. The RFL changed the ruling so that once a player qualifies the qualification follows him around for the rest of his career. My guess would be some legal issue with limiting the dispensation to a single club.

Will work in his favour then, although I know he wants to stay in the Hull area (if he stays in the UK).

Personally, I'd have kept him if the money was right, much more value than certain other players.

Spoke to Motu last week and he mentioned 2 clubs were showing an intrest but, as you rightly say he will have to get back to full fitness before he signs for anyone.

This is where I'd like the club to show some benevolence, he's a professional and never been the subject of any rumour or issue, let him keep training with the club to full fitness.

Maybe they will. He is still living in the area and his kids are still in school here etc.
