He should be fine,was a bit worrying when they wasnt much movement,was more precaution then owt else,may i add aswel,thought he had a good game upto him going off.

His name has been circulated to NRL clubs at least and according to Dave Parker and 'Contacts close to the players at Hull' he is looking to be released at the end of the season.

A relation of his at work has said the same this moring, ....gutted

Would be a blow to lose him if it happens but good luck to him, can't blame him for wanting to try his hand over there its not as if we are going to be challanging for anything in the near or even distant future for a long while.

Do him good to be at a club with a decent coaching set up too as he will only improve.

Good luck to him if he goes. Will need to sharpen up his consistency in passing accuracy to make it over there. If he does go I hope he does well.

Dont agree. Ive not seen anything from him this season that makes me think he is good enough for a top four side which has to be where we are aiming. If anything i think he has stagnated and not stepped on from last season and doesnt have the distribution that someone like Robinson or Roby have. All he can do is skoot.

His girlfriend is a friend of my wifes and apparently Shaun Berrigan advised him to try his hand in the NRL last year sometime. I can't see why he wouldn't at least give it a go, he would improve far more even if playing reserve grade there than he would first team here in my opinion.

Swain had far superior distribution than Houghton, imho.

He's been excellent this season. His yardage gains around the ruck are very good, his kicking is ok and his defence is excellent. He needs to work on his guile but he is getting better imo.

And Swain without doubt had and was given superior coaching than Houghton has ever had at Hull.

Unfortunately for Houghton to progress his game and reach his full potential he will have to leave unless we see a full clearout of the coaching staff and a quality coach and set up brought in.

Indeed, and this is a MASSIVE concern I have about Hull FC, we seem set to ruin what talent a lot of our youngsters have by retaining poor coaches at all levels.

Can't disagree at all. You only have to look at how many of the top teams in SL have their youngsters out on loan to other SL clubs. We are years behind on that front.
