If Duffen should go then the fans of FC should lobby the Council to make sure that in future the Chair of the SMC is not also the Chairman of City! The positions are not linked and it is just that Pearson held both positions in the early days that see's Duffen continuing that now. Pearson for me was an honest broker in the job but the RL international stuff earlier in the season showed Duffen for what he is, Biased!

I too was under the impression it was Mr Duffen as head of the SMC that stated he could not guarantee the International figure until the premier league fixtures were out? Cant see why he's not implicated tbh.

The RFL, they were given dates that could be available and din't want any of them.

Thought it was the other way around. Thought Duffen was offered dates by the RFL and he said he couldnt guarantee until the Premier League fixtures are out? In fact I distinctly remember him saying such on the radio.

We've obviously heard different stories, has Duffen ever made a statement about it?

Why couldn't the RFl have chosen a date they required. City could then have rearranged a game to suit, it's not exactly hard work and at the end of the day it is Sky who get to move fixtures around willy nilly to suit their broadcasting, and as the rugby will be on sky there would have been no problem.

Hell Sky would most likely have made sure City were on the next day so they didn;t have to move the cameras etc

Didnt someone post a letter on here that they had sent Duffen about the lack of RL internationals at the KC and his response was tough I make the decisions and there wont be any played ???
