It's just a shame we didn't sign phelps up in December/January.
What are peoples thoughts regarding signing him for longer than this yr? I'm still undecided but he is improving game by game at the moment.

Was tearing up trees at Wigan before his injury last season, I'd give him another season and see how he goes with a full pre-season behind him. From what I've seen so far he looks solid in defence, after a bit of a shakey start, his support play is as good as anything we have and he adds another dimension in attack, and he's still young. He also appears to have confidence in his own abilities, could be an excellent long term fixture, after all we can't have quota'd superstars in all key positions. Can cover a few key positions as well, although only on a short term basis.
If he continues as he is at the moment, I'd offer him a 2 year deal |

Didnt go tonight so cant comment but what iv seen up to now,hes been steady..nothing else..prefered whiting at fullback from what iv seen. |

If phelps had been FB against saints instead of whiting I reckon we'd have won.
Thought phelps had a good game in the derby and has improved week on week. Just hope he can stay fit |
