Think the days when it was an automatic sell-out, or close to it at least, are long gone. Not sure what can be done to revitalise it as a major sporting event, but considering this is a final being played out between two traditional and reasonably well supported clubs, it looks embarrassing. 


By way of comparison, at Wembley last Sunday the fifth-tier football play-off final (Oldham v Southend) drew a crowd over 52k. I know we're not football but it looks really disappointing to the Tv audience.

I'd have said it should be moved to Man City's ground but think the Grand Final will end up there soon. Maybe look at Liverpool or Everton if Newcastle is the default Magic Weekend venue.

That not given as a knock by Hiku is an early example of how this game will be reffed. Rovers likely to get every 50/50. Other than it wasn't a 50/50 it was a clear knock on.

The first ten finals at the new Wembley had attendances over 70k but we've not acheived that since 2016.

Rovers had a good 10 minutes spell but Warrington been the better team so far today for me. They dropped off expectedly when the bench rotations happened but they're really grinding things out.
