Don’t give them ideas. They’ll be trying to get Geldoff to run a fundraiser for their new burger van. Saying that, they’d probably mess up trying to get Midge Ure and end up with his cousin Man Ure.

| Don’t get all the Fash hate, but I guess all the usual scapegoats aren’t playing anymore. Got to bag someone, haven’t we?
He adds aggression and works as hard as anyone. Every team have players like him and in a better team he would be more appreciated. I’m not one to praise him just because he’s from Hull, either.

| Quote Jake the Peg="Jake the Peg"The games have been more enjoyable and the atmosphere is back at home games.
Do I enjoy watching us lose? No, but it's a he'll of a lot better watching a close loss that a hammering.
I don't think k grix is a great coach but he's done OK with the mess that smith left and the resources he's had available'"
He has had better resources in players …my gripe is why is he still here as he was part of the coaching set up when the hammerings was being dished out yet stayed. He runs his mouth off in the press to often for my liking but never picks out the experienced players, just think he is out of his depth and hope he goes at end of season and let Cartwright bring his own team in.

He might not have had any real power to change things? Do you know how the previous setup was actually run? I certainly don't.
He's a fairly straight talker and you might not like what he says however if he dealt in the usual platitudes then he'd probably get stick for that.
I may be doing you a disservice but it feels like you've made your mind up about him and whatever he does won't be good enough.
Personally, I'm pretty ambivalent about him. Not fussed if he stays or goes.

| Quote bishops finger="bishops finger"Plenty of effort on show from.your boys ill give you that, Moy was great, Litten and Martin played really well, Eseese and Aydin were fantastic but for me your best player and you lot won't agree with me, was Fash, he came on same time as we lost Evalds and Lewis went to fullback, he's come on with the task of halting Rovers rhythm, disrupt and spoil, and I'll tell you what, he did it really really well, maybe a masterstroke of Grix's who knows. Watch it back, he's at the centre of every skirmish from 20 minutes on. And knocked Rovers out of there stride.
Your full of effort now which is a good sign, but lack that bit of quality needed win games.
Some black n white tinted glasses being worn as well judging by the chip on the shoulder comments.'"
Thank you for those comments -agree with all. FWIW I think Minchella is a great player. I don’t like Lewis but the game needs players like him. I’ve always liked Fash the likes of him and Eseses etc complimented our young kids is encouraging . We’re getting closer to you. Our rate of improvement is fast but never enough for some fans.

| Surprise surprise….
"The Fash one, there was loads of running in," Grix told Hull Live. "I couldn't see a decent replay of what actually happened. That was one sin bin each, so it wasn't the worst case scenario.
Grixs take on the Fash sin-bin
The second one from Denive was just dumb. He’d only just gone back on the field, that's one where he looked like he's played 70 minutes, and it was a lazy one. It was easier to do that than go and do the next bit.
This his take on Balmforths sin-bin,…why single out Balmforth with the word dumb,..yes it was a sin-bin but these happen in every game and I don’t see other coaches singling out players for this.I just think he has it in for Balmforth for some reason and can’t help himself when he opens his mouth….he comes across as a bit of a bully, just my opinion of him.

Or he could actually be telling the truth.
I don't know what your beef is with Grix but with less resources and more adversity he has improved the team. Think he deserves some credit and I for one appreciate his straight talking.
Fash sin bin was a melee and a a sin bin for each side.
Balm forth, as much as I like the kid as a player was just stupid.
It killed the game off and he'd only just gone back on so no excuses for laziness.

| Grix seems as frustrated as everyone else. He's made it clear that he isn't saying anything he hasn't already said to the players. The squad is on the bones of its , yet he has got them playing with much more effort and desire. I like his brutal honesty so much more than coaches that beat around the bush and offer nothing but regurgitated drivel week after week. At least he sounds like he knows what he's talking about and what he wants from the players. They just need to be better at delivering it regardless of the depth or strength of the squad. We've seen the potential for some wins in the last few weeks so every opportunity needs to be taken.

| I have more time for grix than I did 5 or 6 weeks ago. He's upped the level of performance significantly and with such a scratch side we were above expectation to still be in it with 10 minutes to go. Fitness levels have also clearly improved as we spent the first 20 minutes defending and didn't drop off towards the end.
Defence needs sorting though and 60+ missed tackles isn't good enough although, first 20 minutes apart, our goal line and scrambling defence was good. Under smith that would have been a 50 point hammering.
We also need to remember we had a very young side with lots of academy graduates in there who will be all the better for the experience.
I don't believe in moral victories but think we can take some positives from a close game.
Fash is an idiot though and will likely now sit out most of our remaining games. Disappointing from our vice captain

| One team warmed up with intensity and started the game strongly, the other looked like they were going through the motions and found themselves 18 points down in as many minutes.

When you consider Rovers are a top team , we would have seen a real hammering earlier and Grix has at least stopped those dire , morale sapping performances that really epitomised the last few seasons . to be still in the game, arguably the better team in patches, gives me great hope that a fitter squad, with new players and a good coach will see us improve further. When you take the above into account, we are a much better watch of late and I actually enjoyed the game, never really thinking we'd win but the fans around me were at least behind the lads and there is a renewed sense of pride in the shirt, which is the least we ask of the team. Fash is brainless and will now sit out a long ban, all of the shirt tugging is just fake bravado, nobody can throw punches so why he got involved and did what he did is even more pointless. He deserves whatever comes his way and has let the team down when we are short on numbers.
