| Quote Hullrealist="Hullrealist"The obscene player I’d like us to be linked with is Angus Crichton. Would never happen as far too good for SL but the Roosters have messed him around don’t seem to want to keep him.
Would start the season at 29 and a 3 year marquee contract should be put in front of him. Would undoubtedly get rejected but would show we mean business'"
Spot on we should be thinking big!
Coach Michael McGuire
S.R Angus Chrichton
Hooker Damian Cook
Scrum Half - not Abdull - overweight, injury prone, & `hates Hull Fc' (his words not mine)
As someone else said Myler should have a fortnight in Sydney starting with a `wish list' &
work down!
Broncos would be a good start. Walters was saying they have 3 young half backs ready,
& unlikely to be able to keep them all. Jack Madden gets the nod this week.

| Quote fosdyke99="fosdyke99"are we still interested in an nrl halfback if these abdul rumours are true?'"
I’d doubt it very much. Declared as a marquee player or not going off AP’s comments in the Humberside interview Trueman is obviously earning 150K plus a year, Abdull the same if he’s going to be a marquee realistically we are not going to spend further on a specialist halfback for one of the 3 to be sat on the bench. With the injury history of those 2 it would be wise but can’t see it, you have to remember that a minimum wage NRL contract is around 65K a year so to tempt someone to move across the world you’d normally have to offer big money.
If we are still looking at an overseas 9 then maybe it will be someone who can play a bit of halfback too. It’s hindsight now but If we had a fit Trueman and JA on the books how useful would someone like Nu Brown have been? You’d have seen a much different player than one burdened with all of the teams organisational responsibilities.
Also on that type of player, it’s interesting to see how Connor Watson is playing so well. It was said we nearly had a deal for him in the bag, same with Shawn Blore he was also close apparently. I assume when we missed out on him we went for Okunbor. How different would things of been off we got those 2? Depending on how you look at it we either nearly got very lucky or ended up really unlucky, fine margins.

No, he said the two clubs hate each other and that he "can't stand" Hull FC. This was part of a Sky Sports promo for the derby last year. Clearly toungue in cheek and all a bit pantomime.

Can't believe how much people have been drawn in by it. He's hardly going to turn around and say "I play for Rovers but actually I'm a massive FC fan"

| Crichton could be forced out of the Roosters if Fifita makes a decision on joining them . Looks like he's staying at the Titans.

Fifita has indeed taken up his option on a 2 year contract extension and will be at the Titans until 2026.

| Literally no point in offering a deal to Crichton. He'd laugh in our faces and tell us to off.

| Quote Sonny Crockett="Sonny Crockett"Pearson has had 7 years to get it right but has got it wrong every time.
Some people are happy with groundhog day and massive under-achievement and watching end of career mercenaries pocket easy, no pressure, cash...and that is what is going to be served up yet again.
Massive change in mentality needed right though the club...but if Richie's wife and father in law want to waste some money for a few years good luck to them...it won't change anything, won't last and the club/Pearson will be worse off at the end.
What kind of 'professional' sporting organisation gives a bloke THE top job because his wife throws a few quid in?'"
I don't think anyone is happy with what has happened at the club and we all know that a lot of mistakes have been made. I myself have spoken at length about the need for a change in mentality, culture, identity etc. I think that pretty much everyone knows that things need to change.
Well guess what? Things are changing. But none of us know right now how those changes are going to pan out. Myler might be the best DOR we have ever had or he might be the worst. Pearson might be selling up to the investors or they might only be taking a partial share. We just don't know right now. So we have to give them time in my opinion. Myler's only had four weeks so far and given the mess we are in, that's no time at all. Recruitment wise, we've not finished yet for next season nor do we know what kind of influence they are going to have on the squad or our performances. Nor do we know where this recruitment drive fits in bigger picture wise. These are all just the first steps.
So we shouldn't be righting them off yet. That doesn't mean that we have to be happy but it doesn't mean that we should have the knives out either. The club needs time and we fans have to give them that and be patient. There's no magic wand to fix this, no clicking of our fingers to make everything alright again.

| Suprised we didn't sign Wakeman last season, he would have fit right in with our 2024 signings.

| Personally I have somehow always retained optimism, every season we start joint top ( and bottom ) - I actually believed in this years recruitment & expected good improvement.................how little did I know ?
Think I am just tired of this emotional journey, constantly raising expectations with another new start, only for it all to go horribly wrong - this season has set new levels for that though.
The constant churn of players hasn't made any difference so far, Tex Hoy, Darnell, Jack Brown & Fanua all gone - replaced by Tom Briscoe, Aydin plus a couple of loanees. Not to mention the 10 or so seasoned professionals that lefty last year & we all know how their replacements worked out.
Of course we now have investment which was sorely needed & Yes, the new management have a hell of a job on.
Adam Doueihi ? Best player at the Tigers until he ruptured his ACL - only way he leaves Australia is if he is crocked & some dumb club takes a punt. He was on NRL360 this week - expects to be back in a month, suspect he was the Tigers highest paid player when injured - sure he will start next year on a very decent contract ( assuming knee sorted ).

| It's not the first time Adam Doueihi has done his ACL either. I think this is his third time and still only 25 , Good player though .
