| Feel under the old regime, they would have panicked and signed some absolute duds like we’ve seen previous,
Happy with short term loans as it’s a win win, helps protect our younger players from floggings whilst keeping us in the market for long term, whereas the player will be aiming to impress either Hull or another club,
Interesting comment yesterday with Myler saying they were speaking to 6/7 players, you’d expect these to be a half, a 9 and possibly a centre, plenty of cash and a few spots still available,
Would anyone take Ben Davies from saints, still young, from a good system and can’t get a look in over Percival and Hurrell

| Did I read that only one marquee spot is free? Who's the other one outside of Asiata?

I would imagine we have an NRL 7 signed - and then the 3rd spot would be for Whitehead potentially

| 3rd spot is rumoured to be Trueman.
Not really worked out that well so far, still time I guess.

| The more I think about it makes sense. We are going to finish in the bottom three no matter but need to be more competitive and stop shipping 50 points every week.
The youngsters are getting game time which is a bonus but need to be protected. To maintain interest for next season the club need to announce more statement signings to show intent.
Lets face it this this Reynolds cannot be any worse than than the previous one who played in the halfs.

| Can't say I'm excited or disappointed, don't personally rate him, but better than Smith at halfback and not fair to keep playing Charles. Let Charles play reserves and academy for a few ganes, win a few and develop his skills in a lesser environment.
Unfortunately this is where we are this season.

| When signed Trueman was a player with potential who had yet to kick on. He was a risk having had serious injuries and to make him a marquee player is nothing short of madness.

| Surprised if Trueman is a marquee - we were told we were not in a position to have one. AP even said that next year we would be running with 3....so what is the truth??!

I believe we signed him, the. He got that bad injury. Then because he was done for the season, they announced him.
It was one of those "worst kept secrets" people mention

| Had Reynolds been a permanent signing as a first choice half I’d be disappointed but as a season long loan Reynolds is a smart bit of business. He’ll come in offering some experience in the halves and support both Trueman and Charles.
I like the way Myler and Grix are trying to supplement the squad for the rest of this season to try to make us a bit more competitive but without risking anything for next seasons rebuild.
I’d much rather sign Ben Reynolds on loan for the rest of the season than sign another Josh Reynolds on a 2.5yr deal.
Think it’s clear the focus is on 2025 and getting the right players in for next season rather than compromising.
