| If we change coach, it can't be another inexperienced coach, needs to be someone with a lot of experience, high standards and can get results out of the squad they inherit, not the cycle we seem to get into of giving each coach a 2-3 year grace period to build their own team . when Agar was at the helm, he got 2-3 years to build his own team, then Gentle comes in and has time to rebuild from Agar, Radford comes in and has 2-3 years to get his own team, now hodgson is rebuilding from Radford...if a new coach comes in he can't have 2 years to rebuild from hodgson, it just gives the impression that some seasons are pointless but next season will be better etc etc...eventually fans patience will run out and they'll stop attending

| great Coach Peter Sharp and a real disciplinarian who was respected by the players. I think it was Peter Gentle who was driven out by the players and the 'coach elect' I think its fair to say that if that ever comes out what was said that night at Huddersfield after the game it will make for interesting reading.

| I'll give my views as an outsider on Brett Hodgson, then feel free to rubbish them.
It appears to me that he is very very good at building a club, putting strong structures in place with the right staff within those structures.
The pathway he has developed at Hull from the scholarship into College, Academy, Reserves, Rising Stars into the first team looks a genuine one and if I were a Hull youngster I would feel I had a real opportunity to advance there and be supported along the way.
Some of you guys will go to more junior Hull games than me but I do go to a fair few and every scholarship, academy and reserve game I have attended I have seen Brett Hodgson. You wouldn't see that with a lot of Super League coaches. He is across everything which has got to be a major positive.
However, I'm not convinced he is a great coach or a particularly good man manager of players from snippets I'm told.
In my opinion you would be in a far better position if Hodgson had come over in a Head of Rugby role and Andy Last had been retained purely to coach your first team with no other responsibilities.

Think thats a fair shout to be honest and have to say I agree about the Head of Rugby role for Hodgson as opposed to Head Coach

On what you've seen from the Hull Academy which players would you consider having the best chance of establishing themselves in the first team in the next year or so?
Thanks.
