| A tough, skilful forward and a great leader. If he hadn't come to Hull, knocker, Charlie Stone and Sammy Lloyd wouldn't have come and the glory years of the 80s might never have happened
RIP Vince

| Excellent pack-leading, ball-handling prop forward.
Arthur Buntings most significant signing.

| Fantastic player from an era when props could pass (not throw the ball blindly backwards) whilst being battered in the tackle.

Agree with above, very good ball handler and tons of experience at the highest level.
I was just watching the Calander special on Thursday about the 1980 cup final and he was there noticeable from the back by his hair colour and bald patch.
RIP Vince, your memory will live on in FC fans forever as part of that great side/era.
Here's a nice interview with Dick Tingle who used to write the match reports and all things FC in the HDM BITD.

| Very sad news. Couldn't wish to meet a nicer guy and always a thorn in Hull KRs side.

| Condolences to his family and friends.
A massive figure, skilful and tough as anyone. He gave me some great memories as a lad, and was a huge part of the historic FC renaissance.
May he rest in peace.
