The squad for 2016 looks very light in the goal kicking department.
An area I thought we were poor in last season and we look even weaker going into 2016.
As far as I am aware none of the new signings are goal kickers and with the loss of Rankin we certainly look a lot poorer.
Mark Sneyd seemed way below average last season (not looked at the stats) for first choice goal kicker and from wide out on his wrong side was getting nowhere near.
Lee Smith could well improve us in this department if he is signed as I seem to remember him kicking well for Wakefield when I saw them last season just the other parts of is game that worry me a little.

His goal kicking percentage is a concern, but it's his field kicking - particularly medium and long range - that needs more improvement. It sometimes seems that the longer he has to decide what kick to put in the worse the outcome is. Big season for him all round IMO - should kick on behind the pack we have next year and no excuses if he doesn't.

It's a lot easier if you're not kicking from your own half and, let's face it, we did a lot of that last season. I think his kicking in the field of play was good all things considered. I thought Pryce didn't kick too well which made Sneyd an obvious target for defences.

If Sneyd gets a knock than HTW can step up to run the team and kick the goals.
