To be honest the entire 150 celebration year was a washout, nothing about it inspired me to join in anything. It was not very well organised and lacked punch, we may as well not have bothered.

I ask the question on the choice of ball carriers pre match, no one asked Sammy Lloyd, Knocker or Sullys wife most where ok but there where one or two glaring foul ups.

I find it really sad having to read this kind of thing.
With over a years notice to organise an event and it sounds like a real damp squib & lack of structure for the evening & more importantly relevance to the clubs history.
steak and apple pie must cost a bomb these days to knock up, jeez and for a marquee event!
Is there really no-one at the club capable what with all the contacts/resources to actually make evenings like this spot on rather than leaving people feeling peed off, it smacks of the amateurism that haunts the club from top to bottom

I agree that the 150th anniversary was an opportunity missed but we're not alone in staging half-baked events.

The fan fest at the Olympic Stadium yesterday was typical RFL fare. A winswept car park with a few inflatable games and a bus selling overpriced crap beer.

You asked why i wasnt on it or applied. Which suggests you know i was not for sure. As if you'd make a wild guess on here.

So if you were, you'd address the points i raised.. If not, then dont assume. And just wonder about those 2 points i raised.
