Quote: ChrisH "I think that our problem is that all of our ball players played as individuals and seemed isolated much of the time. Whether that's because Pryce wasn't fit enough to maintain a performance throughout a game , Houghton's too knackered and/or doesn't really have that control element in his game , Abdul lacked experience , Sneyd is too unpredictable and Westerman didn't like/couldn't carry off his new role or because the coach wasn't able to bring them together , it's difficult to tell. Any one of them could look like a world beater playing in a different set up. Sneyd to a degree proved that with his previous form at Cas and Westerman may well do that at Wire. No one seemed strong or "clever" enough to genuinely lead and organise the team. Will the players coming in change that? Probably not , they may lead by example but if we are to improve we've got to find some cohesion and that will only come from a dominant and skilled organiser in my view. Who will that be? At the moment it's looking like Abdul will have to take it on which will be a tough ask or we're hoping for a renaissance from Leon.'"
When Pryce leaves, Abdul will be our SOH for years - talk of him moving to LF are wide of the mark IMO, at least until late in his career.
