great read as usual,all the better for that performance ! didn't expect that really. the most pleasing thing for me was the incredible effort in defence, and the game management, what a difference two clever halves make. I know its only one game,but it sure gives you a bit of optimism dosnt it (btw thanks for showing the back of my head on the fourth picture, I know its me because that's my daughter in the daft hat lol)

Lovely bloke was Mick, played against him a few times when he played for Dockers.
The Maine rd final was my first season as a fan, but my overriding memory of Mick was the drop goal against
Albi,for a 19- 19 (I think) draw which made us the only ever? European champions.
Iirc it was a round robin comp between Carcassone, Albi, Halifax & Hull.
