Only problem there is he has wasted us 6 games before we sack him and its not that easy to get a quality coach in when the season starts and it will be a new structure the new coach will try and put in while trying to figure out strengths and weaknesses of the team. Much easy for a Coach to get it all sorted out in the off season then having to play catch up after 6 games under immense pressure. Or we could do the sensible thing and sack Radford now and bring in a proper proven coach something Radford is quite clearly not.

So X person (Let's call the LR) says they will quit if they fail, LR fails (if someone here wants to quantify that LR has succeeded by all means go ahead and try to substantiate that!) and then doesn't quit, on the back of what that person said previously makes them a liar in my book.
That IS substantiated, that person did say they would quit but then reneges on that, or are they deluded into thinking they've succeeded??

If you're that worried about the truth, prove that it isn't the truth.

As for man management, if you don't understand even the rudimentary basics of psycholgy and human behaviour then you won't grasp how obvious it is that LR has next to zero man management skills..Ask a professional in the field to observe & read what has happened all season..they'll tell you pretty much all you need to know about LR's (and indeed the owner's) failings..

As for the other thing that was removed, well, if you want to ignore what went on last season..fine. The simple & easily led are always blinded by others that tell them they didn't see X or X never happened...open your eyes FFS!!

I don't disagree that Radford shouldn't have been appointed and has demonstrated massive inexperience and ineffectiveness since he was which has taken us backwards. But , he would probably say he isn't judging success or failure on one season so he hasn't "not succeeded" yet and no doubt AP would agree that Radford would be judged on some pre agreed term , perhaps 1.5 or 2 seasons? We don't know. As much as I would say get rid now , he shouldn't have been appointed in the first place , the rest of the coaching staff should all go etc etc etc if I was in Pearson's shoes now I'd be struggling to do that because of the problem of who do you bring in , would it be admitting he was wrong and would that have more of an impact on confidence in him and pass sales than simply sticking with the line it'll be better next year? And then there's the cost to do it.

I've had a look for the quote but can't find it. If I remember correctly, he said he would walk if he ever felt he couldn't improve us. Clearly he feels he still can. We may disagree with that opinion, but a difference of opinion does not make either party a liar.

I understand plenty, thanks. I also understand that nobody on here has actually witnessed Radford managing his players on a day-to-day basis. Any 'professional' willing to give an opinion based on such paucity of data would not be worth listening to. So it remains opinion only.


It's not a matter of ignoring anything. It's a matter of what you can and can't say on a public website if you want to avoid being sued.

F.W.I.W I thought we were making progress (slowly) under Gentle, but would have had no
qualms about him being replaced, if we had a proven coach lined up.
As we hadn't, he shouldn't have been replaced until we had.
