To be honest, as a Cas fan I couldn't really see why Hull signed Arundel. Personally I always felt he was a decent player but lacked the aggression both in attack and defence to be a top centre. I was disappointed to lose Westerman (though the fee was fair) and gutted when Shenton left for nothing, but not too disappointed to lose Arundel.

Arundel will need to seriously up his performance level from that shown at Leeds if he is to establish himself as a SL player at the top level. He'll get more chance to do that and rightly so. There were very few Hull players that reached the required level on Friday so he's far from alone in needing to improve.
