The closest good enough facilities i can think of is Doncaster.

Costello would be a better option than Caravan Park.

I understand how it came about but dont get why sale were allowed to have a home game televised on the weekend when sky always choose fixtures at short notice.

surely It would have been wise for salford to make the stadium unavailable all weekend as sky could change the game.

If they made it unavailable then sale would have had an away game for 1st game of season.

at the beginning of each clubs season they make either the rfl or fa aware of dates when the ground is unavailable and they plan fixtures accordingly


Granted this is much more difficult for the play offs and like you say it will be interesting to see what happens.

As I understand it the Sale game was originally scheduled for the Friday and was moved to the Saturday [iat Salford's request[/i as Fridays are their usual home night. Just one of those things, unfortunately.
