there was a debate going on today who should have got the halfback role with horney, ive not been overley impressed with horne lately who'd be willing to give ellis and nicklas a punt at 6 and 7 while seymour is out injured?
Big gamble but could prove to be a shrewed move.

Horne was very good, some great kicking too for a change.

He and Seymour should be a top partnership.

Spot on that paulm !
Cant see where any of the Horne knockers can pick fault so far, i think the problem is that so many expect him to coast through and round the full back with blistering speed like price used to do a few years back but that has never been Hornes game, maybe some where right when they said Hornes only issue over the last two seasons has been the fact there was no half of any sort playing alongside him !!
Kicked smart and played his best game for some time today , cant wait to see him gel with Seymore

I did'nt see any pre-season so was expecting to ellis to play. Thought horne nicklas worked ok both found the floor with kicking. The whole team seemed to be talking more and in lynch we had a skipper offering encouragment all the time

I have to put my hands up and say I berated Horney after the derby game (on this site). He played like he's played most of last season when he was mostly ineffective. However, he was brilliant against the Bull's and outstanding yesterday.
Like a previous poster pointed out, I hope that its the fact he had a genuine half back alongside him sharing the work load that took the pressure off him and enabled us to see the Horney of old. Long may it continue.
If Nicklas or Seymore bring that out of Horney then they are the 7's for me.
Ellis will get his chance, he offers a different skill set to Nicklas or Seymore. I think the kid has a fantastic passing game, as good as Jason Smith or Judas. Wether he can show those skills at Super League level remains to be seen.

Steve
