Supporters would make the worst people to have in charge of a club, for the simple fact we are too emotionally involved.

We'd probably struggle to hold a conversation with a coach or player if they had got something wrong or had a bad game. I don't really think the B.o.D are doing that bad of a job, in fact if they had recruited a top class coach then I would say the last few seasons they would have being perfect. Making money off the field, spending transfer fee's and a team that is capable of making finals.

Ultimately though in sport winning is everything and if you ain't got the personal to do the job on the field then your on a hiding to none. Supporters don't want profits they want trophies.

Quote: Jake the Peg "I didn't say i liked the man or his practices (In fact I have a couple of mates who have been on the sly end of some of them), however I do admire the way he has dragged the dobbins out of the gutter and I do wish there was a real passionate lifelong Hull fan on our board.'"
i agree with that statement but ive also said for a few years now that he will end up being rovers downfall in the long run if things carry on as they are. He might run a tight practice, but on the rugby side of things as a business apart from the on the field succsess i think he has let himself down.
Losses are getting bigger year on year, another loan of allam albiet interest free is still another debt, masongate, cookiegate must have cost him a few quid, his blatent hate for hull fc cant do him much good and as he stated a few years back he needs to hit 10,000 average for a break even figure? he sure didnt play his cards close to his chest

He's playing with the cards he's been dealt and is taking a big gamble with their future. personally, I hope they go pop as I hate the feckers. I merely wish we had someone who loves Hull as much as he loves rovers on the board

wigan and warrington are prime examples of a supporter running the club successfully on and off the field. At saints, mcmanus has turned around a dire financial situation whilst keeping the club competitive and putting together a funding package which will see them move into the best club owned ground in the league and will transform their finances.

Running a club which is successful on and off the field isn't mutually exclusive, nor does being a supporter mean you can't make good business decisions
