That's the headline in today's (Saturday) sports section The Press, which is our paper in Christchurch NZ.
Asked what his time at Hull had offered him, Berrigan is quoted as saying
"I wouldn't say it's done much for my game at all really. I got chopped and changed around a fair bit. There's not much depth in the squads there... I played centre, hooker, half back, even the back row."

| Quote: ChrisH "Absolutely spot on. I also think, as alluded to in his article , he wasn't happy with the way things were and the fact the players around him weren't the quality he'd been used to so he ended up not giving a toss. He certainly looked utterly miserable or bored for most of the last two years.'"
thank the motivational whirlwind that is Dick Agar!

| I read this thread first then read the article. I thought there must be a couple of paragraphs missing off the link such is the disparity between what this thread says and what was actually said

| Another one here who doesn't see what relevance his wage has. Being paid more does not mean he can do a better job than others without the right team around him. There was only last season where I think he had a disappointing run.
To those who are saying he wasn't good enough for the money, do you also think that we should nail down Agar to an even longer term deal?

| i have said in previous posts agar hasn't the skill or knowledge to coach people like long, berrigan, omeley or any other top class player so if berro wants to slag us off good on him, maybe the board might for a milli second see his comments are spot on; agar is a complete idiot who only we will employ,he,d struggle to coach in the national conference.Sooner he is on is merry way the better

| after watchin Richard Swain Berrigan never did it for me, always thought he ran hot n cold.
the best thing he did was bring the best out of Danny Houghton who took his spot with both hands.
typical Aussie though, go back home and complain about his time over here
