Quote: east hull FC fan "Agar's here for the foreseeable future, whether we like it or not. So let's get into what we would like to see improve on Friday and the coming weeks.

For meDefensive line speed. As has been discussed we're pants defending out wide so this needs to drastically improve for us to try and keep teams down the middle as much as possible.

Basics. The amount of unforced errors is worrying, even more so the people who are committing them, Whiting, Fitz, Houghton & Tickle.

Positional.Would like to see Fitz moved up to the front row and Westerman at 13 with Lauaki, Manu and Tickle in the 2nd row (This can also be done by Fitz and Lauaki swapping but I would prefer to see Lauaki running out wide).
I'd like to see our 2nd rowers running out wide more also.

The "Wrestle"We're losing the floor too easily for my liking, allowing teams to run over the top of us and make easy metres. Considering we're playing the best in the business at it next week we need to improve a lot.

Kicking It's shocking at the minute, would like to see Whiting utilised more for field position, Westerman kicking penalties into touch and now Horne is back, his short kicking game is good enough imo.

All things i think are easily rectified and only 1 or 2 needing the coaches input, fortunately. And for the recipe to work we need better concentration for the full 80 minutes.

I disagree with you coach Carter. How about good old fashioned get to the 5th tackle with one man hit ups and then a good kick and chase. That's how we're supposed to play, right??

In a nutshell...a brissie LEGEND:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_44896.jpg

youve got to think that if we can do the basics right, such as 5 good strong carry's and then a good kick at the end, then that should stand us in good stead.....
its not a hard complicated game, so why try to complicate things.......

These are the big four for me. I would also add support play to this and not only from breaks but there should be a push on almost every play as sometimes the push is what creates the break.

Defensively if we have better line speed and improve our technique (easily said I guess) then we would be a solid unit.

Offensively is we can learn to find our feet quicker and push on plays 2-5 and support any breaks then should be able to score more points more easily.

The kicking game can win and lose you matches and right now ours is awful.

It's funny (well it's not actually) but watching Andy Last in the U20's video his team talk before the game was absolutely spot on. He watlked about intensity, technique, pushin on every play etc etc and seemed to be saying exactly what we bang on about on here.

Agar WASN'T the man for the job. Agar ISN'T the man for the job. Agar NEVER WILL BE the man for the job.:

The speed of our passing is pedestrian. Look at how fast teams like Wigan, Wire and Saints move the ball along the line compared to us. This is obviously achieved through plenty of hard work on the training ground and appears to be a skill that the team don't seem to practise. The better teams have their attacking lines more organised; they run from deep, hit the ball at pace and support the man with the ball. Our attacking line is shallow and all over the place organisationally. And, as has been mentioned, our support play for the ball carrier is pathetic.
