God only knows, possibly to watch the grass grow.
A couple of weeks ago we had some free tickets (through the workplace) to go and watch Tigers v Watford in one of those nice shiny West stand executive boxes with drinks and a free meal thrown in. We arrived just after 1pm and there was already some people sat in their seats staring into space and waiting for nothing in particular to happen (kick off was at 3). The only entertainment they had for over an hour was watching the sprinkler system go on & off randomly.
Mind you, trying to guess which part of the KC turf was going to be watered next was still a damn sight more exciting than the game which followed. The only moment of excitement after 3 O'Clock came when one of our crew realised we were able to get Cbeebies on the Tv, so we spent most of the second half watching Scooby-doo (those pesky kids).
Spending one afternoon watching the World's biggest and most popular sport made me realise how even the most uninspiring Rugby game is still ten times more entertaining than soccer.
