Went to see Newmoon last night enjoyed it really. Not your usually style Vamp movie its also interesting to see how the characters evolve and deal with the complex relationships which are formed. Team Edward by the way.
I've seen the first film. Nothing special at all imo. As has been mentioned its basically a chick flick aimed at 12 to 16 year old girls. If the vampire looked like Nick Fozzard it wouldn't be nearly as popular.

I actually think he is uglier thatn Fozzard. I just don't get it.
