Quote Robbo4Non-Federation Trained players who where in the British game before February 2008 may apply to be re-classified as Federation Trained in their final year of their current contract.
Initially this was to allow the player to continue his employment at his present club, this has subsequently been amended and the dispensation is directly awarded to player regardless of him joining a new club.
Although they may apply in their final year it does not come in to force until his contract expires in November of that year.

Unfortunately I'm talking utter tripe as usual as we can still only have 5 overseas players in the squad  |

For next year? It's 6.
If this is indeed the case, and Cusack is available to stay non-quota, I'm much happier about his retention than previously. The only query I still have is would he still count as being in the British game before February? Although he was contracted, does it depend on playing competitive games before then? |

Its 6 players who dont fall into fed/club trained bracket. Overseas players is still a maximum of 5. |
