Well, I managed to get permission to shoot pictures from pitch side today so I bought a monpod, a small stool and a lens hood that all told came to about £40 and that is before the entrance money and petrol. All told, probably about £80. Thank Bob I enjoyed the experience of taking the photos because if I was there soley for the rugby I'd have been very unhappy.

It must be bad to want to spend an afternoon in sunny with icon_lol.gif
Never been the same since they did away with the old market on the station. My family had a chalet there so I have spent many a few years in Withernsea.

Quote: Jake the Peg "All told, including fuel, a couple of beers and something to eat, I reckon it cost about £60 for 2 of us to go to today's match. Multiply that by the number of Hull fans there and you're talking in excess of £50 grand that has been spent out of our pockets to watch that shower of shiit. The players and agar should be ashamed of themselves. They don't deserve the fans they have'"

I've not posted in ages but had to as I have been having this thought for a long time now and not just this year it's been happening over the past few years now.

I didn't go today as I have been ill, but was hoping to go.

I won't say I was glad I didn't as I never say that as you know you may be seeing them lose whatever form they are in.

but I did text a mate who went today and said exactly what you've said about the FC squad and club in general, that they should indeed be ashamed of themselves.

People pay their hard earned money to buy merchandise and tickets/passes let alone travel and sometimes accommodation costs to watch their teams. This should be a major thought to any club player cos if I put an equivalent performance in my job like I heard on radio today and throughout the season (on and off) and continually blame it on my colleagues not being fit enough to support me, then I'd be sacked.

I’m sick of hearing the same old excuses from the club about injuries being to blame year in year out it’s getting boring. Maybe the club should start to spend some real dosh on signing some quality backroom staff and getting the balance of support in a team right so that certain players in the team aren’t always open to high impact tackles week in week out (and I’m not just talking about the current squad this has been going on for years now.) Other teams have injuries but we are a joke and no one at the club has a clue on sorting this issue, certainly not the board who have been the constant over the years as coaches, backroom staff and players have come and gone.

I personally don’t see the majority of FC fans as fickle and I think we all know the board know this too. Since Mr Plummer left and James has been doing a better job then Dave ever did, the club fanbase has gone from strength to strength but even my patients is now being tested and I cannot go on anymore already thinking on how good next season will be halfway through a season of watching it happen again when the team just don’t seem to be giving it their all, or in the case of last year, giving up before we’d even started. Even getting to Wembley last year didn’t even put the icing on the cake,, which I knew it wouldn’t from the off as there was no way we’d have beat anyone against us that day.

All in all and sorry to drone on but needed to get this off my chest but the FC board need to beware and start paying back the fans by starting to put their hands in their pockets and keeping players that should have never gone and getting in the ones that almost came here but then went somewhere else, and to me that’s only because the Board are tight with our hard earned money and prefer keeping it for themselves.

Disgraced with them and the Groundhogday seasons we have been having for a good few years now.
