| Quote: super_fc "Cant believe we've signed Cusack up for another year (well actually I can) he is just an australian Ewan Dowes. Yeah he may be 'solid' and a 'workhorse' but like I've said before, these arent the type of qualities that make a good prop. I don't care if a prop plays 30 minutes in the whole game as long as he busts tackles, offloads and offers some impact, but I'm afraid Cusack is the total opposite. He is a prime example of the term 'deadwood' - he is 32/33, very average player, starting to have injury problems etc. Not to mention the fact that he takes up a quota spot, I'm sure we could have used that luxury to a much greater effect. It was pretty obvious as soon as we signed Fitzgibbon (his best mate in oz) that Cusack would be getting a new deal, but it's choices like this that make us an average team instead of being the dominant force we all know we could potentially be - poor decision Hull.FC, AGAIN.'"
Summed it right up for me. Think its a terrible decision to give him another season!

| Quote: Sexual Deviant "Apologies if similar has been posted, but i've not been on here for a bit and I.N.R.A.T.S.
The question has to be why? Cusack is a plodding workhorse who can't bust a tackle. It smacks of one last payday, nothing more.
Someone on SportsTalk said during the week that FC should look around the National League for a younger British prop who would do a similar job, albeit with more enthusiasm and less wages. That kid at Keighley (his name escapes me) looked good in the TV game the other Thursday, although knowing my knowledge of the lower level, he's probably Australian as well!
Of course, if it's Agar's policy to keep stocked up on plodding forwards, then the signing of Sean Long will ultimately prove futile.'"
I guess you don't see the good things that Yak does then? He's the only one in the whole team who'll give you a quick PTB and is solid in defence. He is also quite hard the take down as it usually takes a couple of guys to put him to the ground.

25852_1297892995.jpg You've stolen my washing
From out my back garden
You've tarmacked my driveway
Even though I said no
You've nicked my lead flashing
And weighed it in at the scrappy
Oh St Helen's tatters

Well, of course, i don't see as many games as you. But if you are happy to see an ageing Aussie taking a significant chunk of salary cap for a fairly minimal return then fine. I can't question your judgement, you're an FC fan, i'm not. But be honest, is this the sort of thing you expect of a grade A licence club?
