Hire a quality coach and let him decide on player recruitment (and backroom staff) simple really

Quote: FC Callum "chad randall and brad drew arent scrum halves but they are leaders and thats what we need, ideally a scrum half though i agree'"

Why isn't Berrigan doing this then?

Quote: lurchio "I've been following the whole 'we need a top 6/7' debate for quite a while now, I'm just quite intrigued how people think a top half back would transform Hull's season?

I've only ever seen one player who could carry a team on his own and that was Andrew Johns. And he still needed his pack to compete.

Not trolling, just think eveyones under the false impression that all FC's problems could be solved by some miracle working 7!'"

A number 7 is still a problem we need to adress. But we need more than that, we need a field general. Someone who will grab the game by the scruff of the neck and lead the team. we thought we had it with crocker but.... o well.

Sorry but while excellent - The 'c' man wouldn't have made that big a difference to what we are lacking. He would have added steel, big hits, much needed aggresion but not direction. That needs to come from pivitol half backs. They turn good forwards into great forwards. Average teams to good teams. We need a brand new pairing. Move Horne to full back and recruit a 6 and 7 - Our pack will become much better and our team will grow. We've lacked a decent half back combo since Greg Mackay and Patrick Entat!!!

Paddy and Mackay where my heros when I started watching the black and whites but I think we have had a few decent partnerships since Terry Smirk icon_twisted.gif

Seemed to be slipping downhill since losing Brough and Crooke

2. Brough and Judas rarely played halfback together, Judas played 13 with Horne and Brough in the halves.
