Too right, I always thought wingers were supposed to play on the wing and expect a little bit of service from their centres or halves, we have when fit two of the fastest and elusive wingers in the game yet they don't get any early ball to exploit their pace, they both come in and do their bit when needed, they give the forwards a bit of a hand and defensively they both chase down kick s really well, they make the odd error when tackling and as for the high ball it's one of the hardest things to defend against when the attacking team are coming at pace and you have to jump from a stationary position, imo I wouldn't swap them two for another wing pair in SL.

That's the point. To knock Calderwood after the start he's had to the season would require almost a complete lack of knowledge of the game. He's tried hard to get involved in attack with little or no service, and has defended really well. What more could he do?

Exactly. Funny still though to hear people knocking him, as you say, clearly showing that they either have a total lack of knowledge or like too many beers when watching the game.

The sooner we get Raynor back the better as for the past few games I think Briscoe really hasn't done anything. Not that he and Calderwood get much to do with the ball, but compared to the effort been put in by Calderwood at the moment Briscoe seems invisable

think thats a little harsh on briscoe tbh the metres he makes by scooting from dummy half in our own half is priceless - as has been said though; no winger will stand out without decent service given to them

in the games so far they have not really been wingers games...as the weather gets better they will get involved more but i think calderwood and briscoe have done alright so far just havent had a chance with ball in hand
