| Quote: FCTID "Quote: FCTID "Gleeson should have played ahead of Senior and boy does this country need some half backs.'"
Too right, if Burrows and Price are out, who do we have?it'll be McGuire and Roby, which is an embarrassment to our game in general, we really are poor at developing youth, too much spent and invested in overseas players,'"'"
I disagree with this, i think our development of youth is good, but they dont get the chance because of the imports. Tommy Lee was being raved about when younger, and young Thackeray, but do they play, no because we brought in dykes and webster, until we give the youngsters chance we will face the same problems, and that is just Hull, Wigan have released a host of young players, good enough for their squad to be replaced by imports, imports are the problem, not the youth set ups.

Absolutely!! - he can't even pronounce Thorman!! - calls him ThornHAM!!
Also, Jamie Thackray must be Superman!!
How he flicked the ball, to create the try from the dugout against Wigan,
I'll never know!!

In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11
