| It’s frustrating. We’re not far off and have progressed quicker than expected, Think we will add to the squad soon and Oli Holmes is due back too. Just think the occasion got the better of us, I doubt Raps will have a worse game than today. On a more positive note Firmly believe Marc Sneyd will win the lance Todd trophy again to defeat those pesky dobbins lol

| Fair play to Rovers the best team by a long way. As much as it pains me to say it Peters was a great appointment for them, if you look down their team sheet it's not star after star like Wigans is but the systems Peters has put in place makes them look so solid and difficult to break down.

Rapana's error rate is really hurting us in crucial times within games also. Fans can bag the likes of Fash & Chamberlain but Rapana's error count must be up there at the top. I've got to say, whilst Rapana's passion and effort cannot be questioned, the more he plays, the more he looks like a winger playing out of position. His apparent lack of composure and trying too hard lead to errors and poor decision making. When Cust and Balmforth are fit, I'd put Rapana on the wing and Hardaker or Pryce at fullback and leave Cust at six with Balmforth the backup hooker. particularly whilst Barron is out.

| Don’t think we played too badly, we were forcing errors in the early stages but frustratingly didn’t give ourselves a chance to build momentum. They’re a really good team and unfortunately if you don’t take your chances they’ll come back to bite us as we saw in there three quick fire trys in the first half.
Back rowers are now a huge concern, with a brutal month ahead I imagine we will be in the loan market at least, or maybe look at bringing the SR from York early.
Overall it was a bit of a reality check for us yesterday, the club has taken great strides forward in the recent months, much quicker than most expected, however there’s a long way to go. Focus is now on the league with the aim of potentially squeezing into the top 6.

| Just watched the game back they were good Rovers tbh.Big difference for me was when we had to take Ese Ese and Knight off. We can’t get all recruitment done in one go but we really do miss some strike in the second row etc

| Yippee try yay:

Peters was the key appointment for them. Everything since has been a result of his appointment. Their player recruitment strategy has been a model in sourcing players brought in to fit a specific club culture. This is the model we have to follow if we want to be back up there challenging once more. Like you say, its the system that rovers employ which is driving their continuing climb forward. Players such as Hadley or Tanganoa or Litten or whoever make the whole far greater than the individual parts. High class coaching with a clear development plan will have a bigger impact on a club than any inflated transfer policy will ever have. I do think the appointment of JC is our first step in this direction. We are already seeing significant improvements in just a few months, but our player recruitment over the next couple of years is vital if we are to continue to progress. The right players have to be brought in for the right specific reasons, not some scattershot approach picking whoever takes our fancy at any given moment. A high class coach will make good players better, high profile signings will be counter productive if they don't fit the system you are attempting to instil into your club. This is what Peters has done over the other side. It's what Brian Smith did, briefly, for us back in 1988/89 or Peter Sharp in 2006. Hopefully, it will be what John Cartwright has begun to impose on the club in 2025. A lot of hard work ahead of us, but even after defeats like yesterday there is still a sense of clear purpose around us going forward. Rovers will take care of themselves, it's my club I'm interested in and at last it feels like we have woken up and are fighting our corner again. Onwards and upwards, hopefully. Keep the faith everyone.

| Looking back it was disappointing how we messed up the Pryce break at the end of the first half. Rovers defence was all over the shop after being broken, and rather than Rapana passing the ball out from dummy half he just ran around a little and ended up back on the short side with nothing on. Need to be smarter there and recognise that Hiku had covered across the field so immediately they're a man down on the left edge. Running in a circle just gave Rovers the extra few seconds they needed to get back. If we could have crossed before half time I think we'd have been buoyed by that but instead we wanted a golden opportunity.

We looked a long way off yesterday, but we’re not second in the league by accident nor witchcraft. It’s all there, and JC has done a better job of fitting it all together than anyone expected at this point. Hope he can get the nose bleeds seen to. Roll on Good Friday, we owe them one!!! Well it was always going to be a big ask, we fell short today but not too downhearted. We are way ahead of where any of us thought we’d be so far. Think Cust was a bigger miss for us today than we realise and KR shut Sezer down. Despite the difference in quality between us, personally think it was our poor errors that cost us ultimately. 2nd row is a big weakness with Cartwright already missing and then losing Lane. Said earlier, I think we’ll be the better for it following todays defeat moving forward. Think Pryce will be a very good signing once he’s settled and had some more training sessions. Litten showing signs of being an option at centre, thought he was solid in defence today.
We again showed that we wont just roll over and give up. Still plenty to be positive about despite the below par showing today. Dust ourselves down, move on and focus on the trip to Warrington.
I think Litten did a lot of good things just feel he needs to be better feeding his wingerNot too downhearted either. Some silly errors some disruption. We’re still on the way up and Rovers were very good. We will have learned that Cust was a big miss, Moy needs more time, Ese Ese is great, Pryce is a good acquisition, like Eseh, Ropana is human etc etc
