No argument on that but for some reason we started the season by flogging Houghton for 80 mins with only brief cameos of late by Johnstone. Last season under Last he seemed to get it right in terms of staring Johnstone then bringing Houghton on. The last 3 of 4 games Houghton has looked lack lustred & laboured.

I think with the 6 again and the amount in particular we give away it just highlights things & empties his tank and he is now at the latter end of his career and he can’t do 80 mins or near enough week in week out.

And it's about time our old/new coach saw the obvious and shifted Griffin to the second row cos he can't pass or tackle.

I know a lot on here dont agree but i still feel we will see Jamie Shaul in this role next season or even later this season if fit.
Whether Johnstone has anything more to his game that we dont see i dont know but personally just picking up the ball at the play the ball and passing to the nearest player doesnt cut it in S/L.

Lets just disagree about Griffin WIZ.He is good going forward but his defence is poor and passing at times leaves a lot to be desired.
he will end up in the second row maybe even this weekend as a replacement for Cator.

i have said the same else where ,he could be a right weapon from dummy half and having set ball and first receiver sorted would give his passing ability a boost ?

We did look more effective last year with DH spelling JJ.

The crazy amount of tackling we’ve had to do in games has really nullified any attacking threat from DH.

Dummy half is something that certainly needs addressing.
