| I'm not trying to be a know-it-all on this. Just saying how I see it.
But in answer to FIL's question this area is the one the fans can make an impact.
It has 3 sections
1) Attendance - worth 2.5 points ( I think we get 2)
2) Viewership - worth 1 point (I think we get 0.75)
3) Digital - worth 1.5 points (I think we get (0.475)
1) Attendance works on average attendances for a 3 year period
It only includes main season league home games. So not playoff or Cup games.
We currently have 2 points because we are above the 3,000 average attendance over last 3 years. To get the next 0.5 point we need an average of 7,500. Right now that's impossible. It'll take years to get that because of the averages so far and the ground capacity.
The bit we need to do is keep that capacity well within that range.
2) Viewership - this is tv audience for games we are on. Doesn't matter if one game or 10 games. It's an average over 3 years.
It is 0.75 for less than 150k and 1 point for over that amount.
I'm not sure which we are but I'm assuming we are less than 150k so 0.75 points. No chance of changing that this year.
3) Digital - this covers Social Media following and engagements. And website visits.
THIS IS THE AREA WE CAN IMPACT
It's split into 3 sections
1) Followers
2) Engagements
3) Website visits
1) Followers - sites include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube.
It's a straight calculation of how many you have across all platforms.
It's pretty public so I can calculate we have 0.15 points for being just over 100k.
The next threshold is 500k for 0.2 points. That's a big jump but I think Ellis's team are capable of that.
2) Engagements - this is likes, shares, comments, retweets, video views for the same group of social media sites.
I think we are in the bottom category here but haven't really analysed it properly.
That means we get 0.2 for over 300k Engagements. Next steps are 0.4 points for over 700k 0.6 for 2.5million and 0.8 for over 5million
Again big numbers but considering we didn't use the others much we can really jump these scores.
3) Website visits. I can't see these numbers but I assume we are bottom with over 5k visits in one year but to be honest we might not even get that so far.
The cutoffs are
Over 5k - 0.125 points
Over 15k - 0.25 points
Over 30k - 0.375 points
Over 80k - 0.5 points
Again because we have new sites and management in these areas we can push for these numbers.
Although they are small points numbers. When added together they make a difference.
So the potential this year is to increase the Digial part of Fandom from 0.475 to 1.5 which would be a massive point for us.
So the job for us is to subscribe like and comment on everything the club put out on the official sites.
Hope that makes sense.

| If you subscribe on twitter and sett to receive notifications from the official account you will get a notification that allows you to like the post without even visiting twitter. If everyone does this and likes every post it will be a step in the right direction.

| Exactly.
Same applies to Facebook.
On both platforms, just search Wakefield Trinity. Follow if you aren't already but just go down through the posts and like every post.
It's also important to like everything. If you look on Twitter, some posts have 250 likes, others have 20. We should be aiming for all posts to have the max possible.
And then comment if you feel like it as that's just extra hits every time.

| What happens if we have a home game that's televised, do I go to the game or watch on TV to get our score up? And do I need to tell anyone if all four in our house watch on TV? Or would it be better to watch on four different screens so IMG know?

| Which TV platform are you expecting to see the Championship on?
Fingers crossed a deal is done somewhere, but nothing announced yet.

Lol. That's a difficult one.
I think, just by the maths, your bum on seat is more valuable than watching TV.
I'm not sure but I think they can tell if you record and watch later but not sure.
In terms of all watching.....you'd need separate accounts to make a difference in your own house, so I'm thinking that's an expensive way of getting that point.....but it's your choice

What about if I purchase an account but go to the game as well? Will that count or is it actual bums on sofas like it is with bums on seats?

Surely it sits with the club to make sure every tweet/post is worth liking/clicking? Some of the drivel they've put on there for the sake it over the years really makes you think what the strategy is.
Posting live updates on a women's game, a side getting beat very convincingly week in week out for fans who (mainly) follow to receive updates on the men's side, that were also performing very poorly on field just seems like a double negative to me?

I'm sure if you contact the club they'll tailor their social media output to suit your tastes

I actually agree with him. I'll interact with posts I find interesting, not to try and get our IMG score up. I won't coming home from work to sit clicking on links to increase interactions. I'm a rugby fan, if I was a fan of spreadsheets I'd stay at work and get paid for it.

Why do you care. Just like it. Likes make points and points make prizes.

Good for you, that's your perogative. The club, however, needs to engage with all of its followers, some of whom will be interested in more than just first team news. This is especially true if they are keen to expand their business model and appeal to a wider audience...for instance I'd be keen to see a tie-in with Wakefield AFC who are pulling in over 500 fans per game they're playing at BV.
